  failing that, i maybe Mika to win the thing and for Schumacher to try hit Mika but wipe out a tyrewall instead, then the stewards will have no choice but to ban him outright
  
  chances are FIA will fire the stewards and declare Ferrari as winners even when they didn't finish

  well, Schumacher tried to close the door on Heidfeld after he screwed up, allowing Nick to get past... causing the accident...
  
  sadly, that accident allowed Schumacher to take advantage of the silly rule about engines.. he can start with a new engine for the next race! so can Button and Sato who retired instead of finishing...
  
  but Fisichella drove damned well.. and so did Alonso.. if he did not get stuck behind Villeneuve for so long, i think he'd have taken Barrichello easily...
  
  looks like Renault has a good car this season!
  
  still early days yet.. but this Bear thinks that FIA is being dumb with even more and more crap.. like the tyres... and the engines... already, Ferrari are taking advantage of the loopholes by putting in "chin spoilers"..
  
  oh, notice only 1 Bridgestone-shod car was in the points?

  The tyres were more durable than I expected, just look at Alonso's rather eventful race! One of my mates said last night that the cars would be trundling around the corners at 10mph but that wasn't the case.
  
  Great drives from DC, Fisichella and Alonso. Barichello also had a good albeit quiet race. Pricks of the race must be McLaren which showed none of their speed in the practice sessions. And Villeneuve was making things difficult for those who were lapping him.

  McLaren didn't do so well, but given that Sato started 19th n ended up nowhere, MS started 17th and was crap anyways, Kimi starting from 20th and finishing 8th ain't too shabby. but they better improve. wasn't impressed with how monty seemed to cruise around a bit.

  DC qualified in the 1m 28s region this morning...that's really fast for a cosworth engine...
  
  Ferrari thought they can use last year's car and still win...big mistake...serve them right!!
  
  the new 2 race weekend per engine rule is really lame...cars not in the points will pit at the end and not finish the race (e.g. BAR Honda) so that they can use new engines in the next race...
  
  yay to renault!!

  The Cosworth engine is reliable, it alledgedly produces about 900bhp and the chassis has no serious flaws. DC says he has nothing to prove but I still suspect he wants to make up for all the lost years at McLaren.
  
  BAR are shaping up to be the letdown of the season. Honda's directors say they'd rather compromise their championship position but get a few wins but the 007 machine lacks pace.

  Not quite. The team was sold to Red Bull and renamed, and then they hired DC.

  They are using Cosworth engines (although Ford no longer owns Cosworth) and Christian Klien is their second driver. Vitantonio Liuzzi is their third driver.

  Aggregate qualifying in F1 is 'artificial' and 'a farce,' David Coulthard growled following the largely futile Sunday session at Melbourne's Albert Park. The Scot, albeit an auspicious fifth on the grid, said adding up the times from two sessions does not create a level playing field -- especially in the event of fickle weather.
