Yes u still can forget to press the meter, sometimes paxs will distract u by talking to u,then when going to reach, then only they informed u,uncle u never press meter. Then when ask how much the usual fare, will give u a ridiculous low amount.
I always make sure td starts the meter. Reminded a few. Cos i hardly take cab so can't estimate fare.

sunday at 11.59 pm i almost reach my spot at T1, quickly ON meter to get the $5 surcharge
Lol. Just like erp gantry. Every second counts.
Dun need to blindly chong in. why pay erp when i always find pax to pay. u just need to know where to find them
Spoke with a nice td recently. He is a retired and drives as relief night shift for 5 days weekly. His target is $70 to $80 daily. He advises me to try on Sunday since no bus lane operational.
The problem is young tds mostly enjoy chatting with ladies only. Most ignored me... probably they jealous abt my looks.

Daily cash income on hand. I wonder how much i can save up when i become a td.
Hi All,
I'm new to SGForum, and I can't find a recent thread on Traffic offences/summon.
Anyway I am a seasoned driver I passed 10 years ago when I was 18, and I have a fairly clean record.
Recently, my parents (who also have clean records themselves) and I have been recieving summons, for quite ridiculous things.
For one, I have been driving along the Holland Village Flyover for many years without a problem, and suddenly I received a speeding ticket for crossing 10km/h which is 4 demerits.
Now, out of the blue, I received another summon for Failing to conform to red light signal - $200 fine and 12 demerit points
Its at the Holland Ave x Taman Warna --> Commonwealth road (the traffic light opposite Holland Village Shopping Centre where you turn right at Pedestrian crossing)
Funny thing is that I dont have ANY recollection of any camera flashes, or even turning when it was ember.
It was literally a quiet peaceful day, I was getting a coffee at baker & cook and driving home I wasn't in a rush or anything!
I don't know if I should appeal?
I will still try my luck to appeal.
