Png is not pick and go lah, png is rice in hokkien, chai png, jiak png, png derives from olden days when I was driving cedric Nissan taxi for $30 per day, whether AP, taxi stand got large crowd, our radio (last time no computer and hp one hor) will announce lai lai, jiak png at tiong bahru taxi stand, meaning lai lai making money time at TB taxi stand. That time, to work is know as Jiak png time. Sweeping derives from our Singapore Pool Big Sweep, older taxi drivers like me will tell you Big Sweep along geyland or shenton way, now it changed to Sweep and go because of taxi stands at city, last time no taxi stand mah, just road side wave..TAXIS!, taxi will stop on the road side and you just pick. Like in London and New York, just wave only. Everyone buy big sweep, and most lost, so that is why it is call BIG SWEEP until tar tar.

It's nice to hear compliments from passengers. Yest took cab to golden mile tower. Taxi driver dun seem to know where to drop me off as whole stretch has cameras.
