My this friend
although charges a bit higher.......When he cum, not only he will change tyre for you, if need to, will repair for you also......
ie, if got nail, on the spot, he able to patch for you without touching your spare.....
If your spare is koya, he can repair on the spot also......
He carry all kind of tyre changing tools, very impressive and professional......
He never use cross bar to unscrew nut one hor, he got air driver, make the changing of tyre look so simpe......
Overall, only if you feel that you want to pay this kind of money than call lor......

The problem with changing spare tire is when you got a gian perng hirer who change the broken tire to a spare and then as a morning shifter, he never go Transcab office to replace the broken spare tire with a good one.
Then sway sway the relief punctured and is stuck. Pay $50 to tow taxi plus lost of night time earning. You wont understand the tu lan until it happens to you.
Tulan also must do mah, even pte car also got puncture mah, also got spare tyre also got tool for them to use, even lady also can change tyre. If a TD said he never meet with a punctured tyre or put aeroplane call or minor scratches here and there or run fare pax, I can only said, he is still a green horn -
Bro relief eh is official call tow for CDG cab......
Sometime, if private car call, they might not entertain and might take very long time to arrive......
Is $30, that's right......

Depend lah, for pte car got towing coverage by insurance one lah.. if you buy premium insurance at a higher cost, very fast one, but if you buy those from the net, cheapsake insurance....tan ku ku...tan until all the premium one are clear, dinner time liao.

Folks, i am gg to drive a taxi soon and would like to seek your advice if i were to drive OMO 5.30am - 1030am and 4pm - 1030pm will i be able to earn net $200?

Well, since you are only going but have not drive, my personal advice of the highest level is, Do not Drive taxis.

I last time drive sonata as morning shift from 4am-4pm. Netted $200-$250 almost everyday.

Well, first and foremost, when pax on board, remember to press the meter If places you do not know how to go, tell the pax, and tell them you are new. -
If you drive OMO, start at 4am better, still under 50% fares, no MRT, no bus, many going to AP and open market stall takes cab, some workers/staff also take because they can claim. Once inside the taxis, go all the way for 4hrs to 6 hrs non stop, only for toilet break, there after, you already breakeven the rental and fuel cost and also make some earning. Go for your lunch and hv a nice nap, at home or at carparks. Then later, about 2 to 4pm, chiong again, this time, less taxis on the road, cos first shift one all go lim kopi, top up fuel and wash car liao Newbie first training is street picking and Q for a week, later when more familar with routes, then take call. Must know where is the CBD boundaries, the surcharge timming, the taxi stands and building + Hotel lobbies inside and outside CBD. Split shift is definitely a no, no......got stamina also no, no, why? No answer, just no, no......
Driving taxi as a OMO must develop a pattern, not setting target, regardless whether you are new bird or old cock......
At the same time, make friends, don't drive alone, will ki siao very fast, for networking or lobang or whatsever, if got group to join, go join......don't ever drive alone as OMO......
If life is tough, look around for alternate income, taxi driving as a OMO aka hirer won't see money one, TRUST ME, you can have 1 good day, follow by 2 bad days and sick for 3 days, that's it, you start to arrears in rental liao......
OMO, important is to balance up family, personal and work life, you want everyday $200, can, balance first before you ask for that......

Let me explain why no split shift. The actual time needed to dress up, take lift, go to your taxi and get your 1st pax is half an hour. When you stop, you need to drive from wherever to your home, find carpark lot, maybe wash car, refuel, clean carpet, go home and change clothes. That is another half hour gone. 2 split shifts means you wasted 2 hours. Drive cab is damn tiring and time consuming, dont make it worse. Split shift means you got even less free time.

You want to drive only peak hrs ar? Dun forget peak hrs also means traffic jams. That will waste ur time and reduce ur income.
If u OMO, just start 4 am or whatever time and drive until hit target lah. The momentum is important. Split shift very stressful one. Morning never hit target then stress must cheong evening.
Taxi driving is about making the connections and luck. Some days, u drive from Jurong to AP. Then got connection from AP to Jurong. Then from Jurong to town etc... Then some days, u end up in mountain and stuck there...drive pax around the estate only. Cannot get out unless u waste fuel and rush back to town empty.
At the end of the day, settle into a routine that best suits you. But be careful hor...some TDs settled down too much that they end up driving taxis for 30 yrs.....like Bowah. But he got sideline lah..so ok..:)

Aiya, most taxi towkays here all jiak ba buy bao already, you listen to them, can go holland one, sleeping is important in Taxi driving, if can take a nap half way is good, if you keep chiong all the way..like those rangers, tell your relatives the next time they visit Singapore casket, mention my name, got 10% discount during weekdays. And by the way, remember to press the meter + any surcharges when pax on board hor..
