If Amos Yee can do without a lawyer, i can also do without property agents, insurance agents and doctors. I have not seen a doctor for years. I self medicate with prescription medicine that i bought myself - not thru doctor or polyclinic hor (i got training so dun try n follow). You are conned if u think polyclinic medicine is cheap. I can get most of the medicine at their cost price (dun ask how hor). Our hospitals and polyclinics have been selling medicine at inflated prices for decades. Sad to say but MOH has been profiting from your medisave when u report sick at a government clinic and buy their medicine.
Same thing for groceries. I only need ntuc for eggs, noodles, washing powder, milk and otah. Things such as rice, oil, sugar, i buy at wholesale prices. Half what u pay at ntuc. Still have not mention car, lighting, pest control. I dun pay outsiders unless they can offer me something i cannot buy or parallel import and install or repair myself.
Aiya, everyone property also go up mah, I bought my 3 rm flat, that time only $17k, now they told me, uncle, you want to sell, we can pay you 300k, you just imagine how many times...i also dunno how to calculate, that is the truth of Singapore cost of living shooting up. But if I sell, i might hv to live at the void deck or outside cdg office at loyang. -
If I sell my property, I also have to diy an aircon casket and sleep at 38 sin ming drive.

Some things you can endure because the drugs are bad.
Some things no need to endure because the drugs are proven safe. I ever high fever but take medicine and continue working. People who talk to me fall sick lor. Got problem?
Same thing for my children. If they are sick, I give them medicine, they feel good and can go school. Other kids fall sick not my problem as long as my kids dont miss class.
Same for that time SARS lah. Got fever never see doctor. Wait they quanrantine me. I take my medicine, feel good, continue working.

Can use herb mah, last time, limpek family poor, where got medicine, see smlj doctor, just eat vegetable, boil papaya leaves, boil frogs, eat fresh water fish to built back the immune system, Lj lah, nowaday, kids all kenna mosquito bite only kpkb liao. Not say I big hole, problem that can be solve by money is not a problem to me.....
My tyre puncture, I got this professional mobile tyre changer in hand, 1 call, everything settle, 1 drop of sweat also don't have, of course must pay a premium for this service.....
My house aircon spoilt, just call my old buddy, operate just a van, 2 hands and tools, 1 hour, gao dim.....
Sick? Go see my long time family doctor, done, imagine my children next time become a doctor, Nabey all self prescribe, dang smlj?......
To each his own, I only believe, money don't spent, this earth will stop moving......

Many people are like u - prefer to pay others to do stuff.
For me its the joy of being able to do things myself. For u a tire puncture or aircon breakdown is a nuisance. For me this problem turns into satisfaction since i was able to fix it myself. I enjoy the process of diy. And I got the time to do it. Many people got no time to diy because of their busy schedules. You xian, you qian, somemore enjoy diy, bky ah?
But some things i will not diy lah. I dont grow my own rice, catch fish, rear chickens for eggs or cows for milk. If i stay in lim chu kang than possible lah.

Western Medicine is only taken when there is a need, most generic medication are just for relieving while your body fight against the virus, bacteria or pain. And most are blockers that block this nerve and relax that muscle. And all come with side effects, big or small only. Other than that, to artificially boost your immune system, antibotic are given, and these can infact weaken yr immune system further in near future. Unless you hv a serious illness or chronic one that needs all these medications, then no choice, hv to take it as prescripted. And as medicine are chemical in nature, other side effect will occurs, so you hv to prepare for it. See a fatty buddy driver everyday pop 10 different pills, one whole plastic bag of medicine...from high blood to high cholestrol to urinal tract infection to migraine to hypertension, he told me actually take only 5, the other 5 is to counter the side effect.

Lj lah, property by this age still not pay finish, then you must be asking for trouble, most of us in our middle ages, our property are usually fully paid, it become a fix asset, and like it or not, even you talk about a 3 rooms, + yr saving + yr CPF, if all these asset are add up, chow chow also half a million aka $500,000. But property cost is not realise until sold, like one Minister said, everyday, you see yr area property go up, you will feel happy, every month, you check yr CPF account go up, you will feel happy...but LJ lah, all these are not realized, happy smlj.

My property was fully paid in 5 yrs. Not a cent from toto, 4d, turfclub, casino, equities, bank, government biz schemes or loan shark. Never once applied for any government support or subsidies. Mostly paid from undocumented cash flows.

$10 notes can be changed to bigger notes anonymously as long as u change them little by little, slowly over the years and going to many places to change notes. Not all at once. The most important thing is not to apply for grants, subsidies or means testing that force u to show your hand to zhenghu.

I dont believe in borrowing money. If lending money to me was not profitable, there will be no loans to take. So the fact is that i saved money by doing a full settlement. This is the mistake gic and temasek made. Invest 100% of our cpf, let our money work hard. Its bullshit logic unless u r warren buffet or LKS. I am the type who wont let property agents, insurance agents, car salesman, wealth managers or loan officers earn anything. I can get very fierce and will fark them on sight if they get pushy.

Pay off one shot also good......at least you would not have liablities to worry about, dont have interest payments to worry about and at night sleep very peacefully. Stock investments sometimes can go wrong too. Like from Oct 2007 to Feb 2009.
Seems to me too another market crash is coming very soon as the market has been on the rise for too long a time.

Said you need to pay $800000 at 2.2% interest for 10 years or you can paid full now, if you put that 800k into an investment of monthly dividend of 3% interest, you gain 0.8%. Yes, I know you very fierce type, if PAP kakis go to yr home, fark them for me. -
Bank loan ask me pay 8%. Am I so stupid to loan the bank my money thru a fixed deposit for 2.2% ? Mai la mai la. Bank want to earn, I also want to earn.
