Last time again. Last time drive taxi much easier lah. Cheap rental, not so many laws and regulations, ERP was just a small hut - use coupon only, not so many roads, fewer angmo and our currency was bigger then. Even police wear shorts not so hot. Now drive taxi very tough lah. The rentals getting crazy. Before u start engine, already got $200 debt. Hin ah.

Then dun drive lah, tiam tiam in debt, seibei sway one hor. Why not go work, then let other owe you a debt, better mah. tio bo...time changes mah, you think everything remain same and you become richer ar? no lah, inflation already can kill you liao. At the end of the day, working or driving is very much depend on passion, if you hv lost that passion, then better do some other thing.

Bowah i already quit taxi liao lah. I also no need work for people anymore. I threw the taxi key back to cdg 4-5 yrs ago.
Drive taxi is not about passion lah. I got read wrongly or not? Drive cab where got fun one. U lucky only drive to pass time. Your children all grown up n married.
Those cabbies with babies are not having any fun i am sure.

Hua taxi is really becoz u got nothing better out there. So u just have to psycho yrself and enjoy it. I been thru it lah. Now even if u beat me to death, i also not touching that steering wheel again

Not only driving, everything you do, must hv a passion, otherwise, life will be difficult, passion can be create out of no choice, as said, like it or not, we are born locally, we are Singaporeans, that is life, and if you keep gum gum chum chum about being Singaporeans or being a taxi driver have to do this, pay that rental, serve cb paxs, then why drive in the first place. However, having said that, passion can detoriate, like when you first start to drive, there is a passion that I want to do it, but as time goes by, you start to curse and swear, while if it does not suit you, we can walk in with a cab and walk out taking bus back. And mind you, there are about 56,000 TDs including reliefs are ply the road day in day out. It is not about fun or challenge, it is about, like it or not, since you are in, might as well enjoy it while it last.

4-5 yrs ago while driving a yellow sonata without grab or uber, I was already clocking ct2220's daily collection. Back then taxi meter was slower so it was proportionally lower. But I was able to collect as much as any of you here even without using the walkie. So its not that i am a lousy cabby. I dont owe cdg even one day of rental before. And i also never give my hirer problems whether day or night shift.
In the end still quit taxi and limo lah. Taxi income no enuf for me.

Of course not enuf for you, you big CC type mah Earning before spending, there are many earning alots. But why still not enuf, because net earning after spending, alway goes into negative. Why, because you spend more than you earn, so in the end, even you earn 10k, also back to zero. Therefore, it is critical of how we spend, like me, very conservatives, call girls also looking for the cheapest bak bak, fren and buddies jio kopi or makan, also scare end up I paying for all, so better dun join. For wearing I use cdg give out shirts, pants use my casket driving black pant, can change free if damaged, not including change of waist size.

You save so much for what?? old liao, learn to spend more mah, otherwise money left for what, bury together with you ar??? dun worry about condo lah, smlj condo make many people working hard to service it, but end up no life to truly enjoy it, by the way, other than a swimming pool, rooms are smaller than HDB, then somemore hv to pay this and that including those ai koon ai koon pui pui security guards.. Dun worry lah, want condo seibo..later you go, I can arrange all to burnt for you..want bungalow also have.

I got only one life leh. Must achieve something before i die. For some people they believe in heaven, hell, angels, demons and retribution. For me die means finished liao. All those religions are bullshit to me.
i want to inspire my next generation to work hard, be thrifty and live a luxurious life. I got a better life now compared to my parents. Now i try my best to ensure my kids will be able to continue upwards so my grandchildren can live like a king.

King also got problem mah, end up, most of them hv shorter life. I think it is best to let nature take it course lah, be simple, happy and at times contended, set lower target, take a step at a time, dun hv to push too hard on matter that you cannot solved nor achieve it, money is sure to bring happiness, but it is an extrinsic happiness, once gone, you hv to work hard and struggling for it that at times, lead to lost of humanity. There are other happiness that one can achieve more easier and yet, can produce the humane side of a true human being, such instrinsic happiness are priceless

My property price went up 3x in 12yrs. Agent fee is very chor. Newly weds cannot afford my place unless got rich parents. Why should I let an agent pocket what belongs to me? Pap thinks i must be so happy property price went up. But they are so wrong.
If Amos Yee can do without a lawyer, i can also do without property agents, insurance agents and doctors. I have not seen a doctor for years. I self medicate with prescription medicine that i bought myself - not thru doctor or polyclinic hor (i got training so dun try n follow). You are conned if u think polyclinic medicine is cheap. I can get most of the medicine at their cost price (dun ask how hor). Our hospitals and polyclinics have been selling medicine at inflated prices for decades. Sad to say but MOH has been profiting from your medisave when u report sick at a government clinic and buy their medicine.
Same thing for groceries. I only need ntuc for eggs, noodles, washing powder, milk and otah. Things such as rice, oil, sugar, i buy at wholesale prices. Half what u pay at ntuc. Still have not mention car, lighting, pest control. I dun pay outsiders unless they can offer me something i cannot buy or parallel import and install or repair myself.
