[ST] Jewel at Changi will offer travellers stunning welcome

Changi Airport's newest "Jewel" will be designed by the man behind Singapore's other architectural gem, the iconic Marina Bay Sands.
World-renowned Canadian architect Moshe Safdie, 75, will lead a team to design a "stunning glass and steel facade that presents an impressive view of the complex - from both Airport Boulevard and the sky", said Changi Airport.
The multi-storey complex, which features a waterfall as high as five storeys within a lush indoor garden, will also be a hub connecting the airport's three main terminals by foot. Currently, the only way to get from Terminal 1 to T2 and T3 is by skytrain.
To be built by 2018 where T1's open-air carpark is now located, the project - currently codenamed Jewel - marks Changi's first build-and-manage partnership with a private firm.

Few years ago, rumours already spreading that our PSA port will be shifted...
So that 1 no surprise in NDR13....
But shifting Paya Lebar Air Base, for this, I really shocked about that....
Are Mindef going to change the whole doctrine on national defence of our air space?....
There's always a reason behind why Paya Lebar, Tengah and Changi Airbase is situated, or what we learn in SAF is nonsense at all?...

Why not shift istana and oxley rise houses to build HDB for us? me living in 2 rooms, can upgrade to 3 or 4 rooms mah.
Somehow I feel that govt is trying very hard to push me, the poors to feel rich.

the reason was a con job in the past, when when mata mata wear shorts time..

Uncle, you can upgrade to 4 rooms now, govt already said they will subside alot, ..
Then I said but I still hv to pay the rest mah, now my 2 rooms all paid already leh, debt free liao, I thot govt said our debt depending ratio today is very high, now you want me to get into debt again?
If govt really want us to be rich, and also portray a better image for Singapore, give us a 4 rooms free lah. Then all poors move higher up, problem solved, singapore will look much better as a 1st world.
