A few questions on taking taxis

Hi,
I have a few questions on taking taxis.
1. I had boarded a taxis and told the taxi driver my destination. After awhile, the driver asked me whether I can direct him to the destination as he did not know the way. But I also was not sure as it was my first time to go to my destination.
The driver asked me to go and take another taxi and paid the fare on the meter. I paid the fare but I just wanted to know whether the taxis driver should inform me immediately that he did not know the way and not pressed the metre on the first instance ?
2. How to cancel a taxi telephone booking properly if the message is that the taxi that is sent will start the metre at $3.90, other than to call the operator personally ?
Thanks for any advices in advance.

If you don't want a $3.90 cab, better call operator personally to clarify.......
There's a function to cancel auto booking also, listen to the full voice mail for that option........
As for your 1st question, I suggest you call up that taxi company to voice up your query, rightfully a journey is not completed, TD should not collect fare from you........

if pax wan go 2 place,first place is AP can we tell them cannot must restart meter at AP with $3 surcharge???

Pax on board
Uncle,Sent me to AP,I pass passport to my brother after that come back.he is already waiting at the departure dropoff area.
So if you are the pax,which will you choose to pay?
A) the total fare from pax' home to ap to home
Or
B)the fare from pax's home to ap +(flag down+ap surcharge+meter)?
TDVL lesson already teach us the regulation.confirm with pax upon destination than press meter stop.

this place no mods ard!hope they didn't find us here tcss!for the question 2 places drop off AP first then another destination.let it be ,u hardly have 2 destinations going AP!

i got a few time pax out of city, go in city n come out again.. can c erp, cannot add surcharge or restart meter..

For query 1, this is subjective. If the driver bring you 3/4 of the way, then also kinda fair you pay something right?
If journey just start, then maybe no pay lor.
Impt is to talk to driver, maybe pay less because partly his fault.

Still the pax got the rights not to pay a single cent due to incomplete journey. .. so ya .. some pax nice one will not mind paying ...

Ya lor..journey not completed. Cannot charge lah.
How come taxi driver got no street directory? It is mandatory by law that every taxi driver keeps an updated street directory in his taxi.
He is supposed to be able to refer to the street directory and know your destination within 15 secs...hahaha...

pax want lo chia .. driver also cant do much since there is so many taxis ard .. lol ...
then again... dont say 1min which is abit too much or 15secs ... 30secs

Ya lor, the first thing I saw was that TCSS thread was gone, nabey, I push and push many time until my heart like lorong chuan liao, but now, since it is gone, no need to push and push, also good lah
