Vehicle Fire at CTE

SCDF has released a statement:
"SCDF received a call at 10.08am from a member of public reporting a vehicle on fire at CTE towards City – before Cairnhill Exit. SCDF dispatched the following resources, one fire engine, one Red Rhino and one fire bike .
"Upon arrival, a taxi on the shoulder of the CTE tunnel (about 50 metres inside the tunnel) was on fire. SCDF extinguished the fire using 3 hose-reel water jets. The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes.
"The driver self-evacuated prior to SCDF arrival. There were no reported injuries as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation."
