  最近德士行业是多事之秋，百胜德士的花红原�是自己的储蓄，�过�机放弃驾驶自己的储蓄就会泡汤；而一��机因为�客在车内呕��他索�，结果被�客推倒过�在医院去世，法庭�判�客无罪，公众认为�客因该对�机作出补�，�是至今德士师傅�会和德士公�完全没有�出任何指导建议或评论。

  Recently the taxi industry has many problems. SMART taxi's bonus were actually from cabbies' savings, however, if these drivers gave up on driving (their cabs), then their savings will be gone. Moreover, one of the taxi driver had requested for compenstation after his passenger had vomitted in his cab. It was returned by that passenger pushed him which caused his death after this cabbie was sent to hospital. For this incident, the court has verdicted that this passenger is not guilty, while many members of the public feel that this passenger should give some compenstation to this driver. However, no guidelines or comments were given by either that taxi company or the association of the taxi drivers.

  Also, the low ridership volume. In this year (2009) May, the volume of the taxi ridership has declined to the lowest point, average a daily ridership of 836535. In Jun to Aug peroid, average daily ridership is less than 840000, which falls to the lowest in the 6 years peroid. It shows a drop of 6% compared to this year January. It also meant that there is a decrease of 8% on daily ridership when compared to last year (2008) Sep where the financial crisis has broke out. On that time (Sep 2008), there was an average of daily ridership in slightly more than 900000. This lowest record (2009 May - Aug) is even lower than the lowest point on 2008, where it has an average daily ridership of 855878. This situation is even worse than the peroid where the taxi fare rises on 2 years ago.
