Night Relief ( question ? )

  Hello Seniors...

  What's your opinion on the following question :-

  If i were to become a night relief driver ( Mon/Wed/Friday, drive from 7pm to ~1 am ) to earn some extra cash ....................

  (a) What's the chances of getting a hirer that can match my schedule ?

  (b) What's the rental i should ask for ?

  (c) After deduct everything, It is worth to put in such time and effort to earn these extra cash ?

  if u drive 7pm to 1am, common practice is still to pay for rental 7pm to 6am or 7am. Rental for say sonata is $48 to $52 so if Mon,Wed, Fri 7pm to 6am... got chance but still need some time to search.... Worth it? depends on whether you are millionaire liao or beri hungry.... haha....

  to me, 6 hours for 3 days is waste time lah... makes more sense to drive more hours for 2 days if you can.... save rental also... e.g. 6pm to 2am for 2 days... sure must sacrifice wan.... haha

  Lim,if u thinking to drive taxi part time to earn extra $$$,I would suggest u burn ur wkend & drive fri & sat nite shift.Find those very old ah pek hirer chances are higher...

  I suppose u knock off at 5-6pm & thinking to drive from 7pm then go home sleep at 1am then wake up again to work the next day? not worth it imo

  it will be too tiring & u already missed 5-7pm peak hr

  or drive just whole day sunday also not bad,my relief can nett $200 driving from 7am - 8pm,1 mth extra $800 not that bad

  Monday ...... 7pm to 1am , eat grass ! Cos Mon by 11pm , taxis everywhere , demand super low . So Monday is a waste of ur time , and morale wise , will hit u hard .

  Wednesday .... still can earn , but by 1am , by a newbie standard , give you solid la , $20 an hour , u go and multiply ...... minus rental $45 , diesel $20 minimum , how much ? Earned $55 , enough ?

  Friday .... it's a good day for anyone , new or old , but can find ? Crown yes ..... Sonata and Wish , i guarantee you no .

  I all depends on what is extra cash to you. $50/night? $200/night?

  ALN (my master) and myself drive tues/fri. My tues aim to earn enuf to pay for next day's lunch plus a pack of ciggies. Its the Fri that we drive till next morning that is useful to pay for sunday marketing.
