Recently , i kept seeing surveyor sitting in almost every taxi stand jotting down details .... it could be sent by LTA , or ComfortDelgro .
My observations is , they survey taxi companies , commuters and time .
It happens at ChinaTown Point , IMM on a Friday night .
I hope it could happen anytime soon .

Comfort cannot tahan liao , recently they are stuck with more Crown , almost at least 500 of them , who shifted to TransCab , many Wish hirer are ex-comfort hirers .
They also recently adjusted the MDT system , to give more bookings to those Cat A drivers , so they will stay in Comfort .
Cos Comfort has got many new dumb bells , new bird , they just dun take bookings .
Did u observe ur MDT change version ? There is a reason .
Actually the LTA policy for taxis to implement those surcharges is a bad one, it leaves alot of taxis under utilised, see so many taxi running around empty while wasting diesel. It's like the coffeeshop owner making coffee for 10 customers, but only 1-2 customers are buying the coffee, in the end throw away 8 cups of coffee. A flagrant waste of resources.
What more can I say about PAP's policies?
if u tell that to LTA , they will tell you taxi fare in sgp is liberalised , so pls complaint to Comfort .
By i , like you , still think LTA rules the "Liberalised " taxi industries thru the back door .
Suxs la LTA and those policy maker .

Seriously, from an economic perspective, it's a waste of resources to have empty taxis queuing all over the place.
Those policy makers at LTA though being scholars lack practicality in their application.

They definitely more powerful, they are a monopoly, monopoly has market power.
Due to this inefficiency, lots of commuters are packing MRTs, making MRTs a big squeeze.
