ok i'll share wat i know abt airport.if u want to play airport must be prepare to queue,but queue smart.these are a must to know1) always pee b4 reaching airport,most of time very difficult to go toilet then join queue,except t3
2) if got adv call to airport early in the morning 4am-5am,don't think liao go straight T3
3) if reach airport at 7am,don't waste time queueing,proceed straight to pasir ris,tamp,simei etc better to start peak hrs,more worth it
4) T2 is good for 5pm peak hr. i always start to queue around 420pm,eat dinner while queueing & when u pick up pax just nice 5pm,u will need sometime to master it perfectly (make sure u open window to get rid of all the chicken rice & hor fan smell b4 pick up pax lol)
5) never go T2 after midnight,only stray cats & cockroaches will be in the queue.
6) thursday evening around 10pm,T2 confirm pick & go :) pax long queue
7) weekdays when town become dead at 11pm,go T1 & start queue at 11.20pm,confirm get pax at 12.10am,but queue will be fxxking long trust me
8) or go budget at 11.35pm & get pax just after midnight
9) T2 got 2 taxi stands,follow the cordinator hand signal,don play play
For a start try T3 first,imo it's the easiest to queue,T2 is the hardest. best formula is monkey see monkey do, just follow the taxi infront

Hi CM...yah i have started to compile all the infos onto my textbook which i will have it in my cab later on...iphone 3g..i used to have it abt a year ago and it had sold it..now i am using a $68 normal phone...hahaha

Talking about day..Day shift.
As a beginner, you will find hard to move around.
Why?...on the road...all are less than ten years experience, more than ten years experience. All got (ang kong) meaning they got their own turf...cause most of them are hirers and very tough and robust intercept paxs with you with their machine the taxi. we will just a bystander.
Like me..first new like sotong...where to find my turf...taxi stands, hospitals, mrt stations, shopping centers. where there is available chance to catch your pax there are many taxis... there those season drivers there.
So...as time go by day by day...just wasted more diesel and look see look see. And today not a probelm. You name it i will fullfill you, you just pay the fare, i will bring you there.
Dun worry..skin must thick...must be brave can or cannot, just go.
Now pax on board...destination not sure, asked again.
like example...belly street.
you know negro...knn their english the most difficult to catch...talking like singing RAP
Something loud sometime soft...there was this negro...belly street. repeated 4 to 5 times than i catch no ball from jurong shipyard.
Where? belly street Where? belly street.
Where? service apartment street where? belly?
Near where... I don't know. Than how to go, already on board.
One more time belly street...near belly point.

some knn new driver everyday only know how to calculate. Only panic just need income.
You must know set a target...one month or two month get yourself to lose some time and some money...later when you are ready on the market...income, your strategy how to run your route than that is your sucess.
Timing.
Morning 5am to 6am...early birds..this are all the sotong pax either wakeup late to work or rushing to the nearest connection like company transport provided pickup point, all maybe hawkers and various other.
Morning 6am to 8.30 am...this slot like kaleidoscope... many pattern and many kind of colours pax...students, office workers, blue collar workers, teachers, factory workers and many many...but one thing...those knn (ang kong with tatoo) hirers are there. You must know how to hander them, and must know how to dogfight and intersept them.
Morning after 9am to 12pm...mostly hospital, banking, offfice matter, company appointment meeting, customer call, going to work shopping center personnel, marketing housemakers. Aiya..most of the hirers will be resting having their coffee break or early lunch...this is a good slot...i will be rounding when they are not there, plenty of catches. So like this kind my strategy from my own experience.
Afternoon 12pm to 5pm.
Basically, the sun is on your top, meaning very hot...so where will you go...housing estates not much...so Q at taxi stands or waiting for calls or sometime, tikam tikam on some routes you think it protential...that is all about day.
But as I told before a famous cook used the ingredients and the method of cooking and teaching during the cookshowto the audiences.
follow... the dish may not be like the famous cook that delicious.
So I just talkcock only, never follow... it could be wrong...hahaha
Just take it as a guide.

oic...i used to work something like urs...i suppose. For 7 years ..that was my last job..principal distributor for US pet food in Asia Pacific.
ok, i will swim as well..i mean somedays jog, somedays swim...not both at the sameday lah of course..hahaha
Ok, noted about my wife...we have plans to have kids actually..married for 8 yrs already, by the way I am 36 yrs old this year...how old are u pool?

Saturday...basically the morning still a working day...the crowds all working class.
But additional...some added punch, students extra activities on school, some private lesson piano, games and etc...
More shopping crowds, movie, where cheap sale there is crowd. after work crowds those working 6 days week. after 12pm...eatery. busy but you must know and tikam tikam those routes.
Sunday...very good most of the traffic are less 50% busy those motorise in the morning could be sleeping cause it is long weekend. But the morning mostly are church paxs heading to churchs or other.
Sunday why? good those OMO are not active...so some with reliefs like us only contributed and available. So the world is your...haha.
Afternoon eatery also very busy especially those ang mo communities often hang around. same shopping and others.
Holidays all are the same as above.

ya man bro i felt i've been driving for few years liao.knn day in day out all kind shifts also tried & finally got it right liao,though still got alot more to learn...everyday is a new learning day,a new start,keep telling myself i'll make it the moment i start my engine
i tell myself,my taxi like my office have to pay rental.i'm the boss of the co.need to pay my own salary,like wat pool said year end x'mas eve & new year eve i pay my own bonus.i'm totally in control of my own paycheck,the keywords are:
1) POSITIVE 2) The correct attitude 3) Good self discipline 4) Good Planning
I remind myself time & time again all these 4 points,I know they won't disappoint me

I don't care what circle line triangle line,taxi cater to the group where no matter what line coming up,this group will still take taxi,no matter what
unless garment can come up with a line that can pick me directly from my void deck & to the doorstep of my desination,then i'll quit taxi driving
once a pax board my taxi at peak hr from raffles city shopping centre & he wanna go kranji mrt station. I ask him how come don't take mrt? city hall to kranji only the most $2.00.

"I went for numerous interviews , still waiting for the right job , that can satisfy my pay of $3000 , currently only taxi can give me that kind of pay ."
"Currently best pay i was offered , $1600 . With comm , the most they can pay me , is $1800 , which i thought it's absolutely pathetic ! "
I always add : " $1600 is my taxi 2 weeks pay ! "

Here u go , i am driving for the past 8 years .... My highest record is almost near to $4 , a bit past that i would say .... a few years back , when the taxi flag down is just $2.40 .
Taxi was never never enough that time , booking is $3.20 , Peak hour charge is $1 .
City got $1 extra .
That's all .

Just go on enjoy driving ... when tired , just fuck off from the road , go home and rest .
Money never finish making for taxi business .
One last tip : In any event , if u wanna go home from town , do CHANGE SHIFT TO HOUGANG , go hunt from Tekka , plenty from Hougang .... u anyhow throw a stone , also will kena Potong Pasir , bigger stone will kena Serangoon Ave 2 .
As long as it travel towards Up Serangoon Road , Indian is there for us to generate that extra trip .
Remember one important thing : Never be too nice to Indians , they will take you for granted .
When asked , dun ask too friendly , ask like they owe you money , not u beg them for it .
Eg : " Ya Ah neh , ya go where ? ya where say probably ? No no no ........ knnbccb ."
Then go another Ah Neh ..... :" Ya Tambee , go where ? Huh 3 places ? " No ! %%$$#&^*&(CCB !
