Mentor & Gurus. While reading your postings, it's raining very heavily now. Your opinon please on:
1) heavy rain for many hours or in fact the whole day or whole mid-night: Taxis without a good booking systems. Can taxi generate more business or less business.
2)Considering that raining will result in heavy traffic jam during Peak hours.
3) During Night - Mid-Night -- i'm sure guru Aln cannot clock driving 500 km man...cannot drive fast.....
Worse still...mentor cannot drive at 130 km/h on a Wish.
4) On Sat or Sun - i believe it's worse because everyone doesn't want to go out and taxi driver "Chia Ka ki".
5) On rainy day and especially during peak hour, sometime it is very difficult to even book a taxi via phone....Listen to holding Music......especially comfort... Other taxi company no need to call...cannot even connect....
6) Where are all the drivers? Hiding, go to lim kopi? Or very busy fetching PAX and good business?
7) Those other companies with poor booking systems - can they justify their taxi rental rates to the drivers?
Time to Debate.....
4) On Sat or Sun - i believe it's worse because everyone doesn't want to go out and taxi driver "Chia Ka ki".
sat or sun...how can "chia ka ki".
my collection is better than weekdays.
sunday...more peoples take taxis, ang mo and local.
see ION yesterday afternoon after 1.00pm...security guard standing at the main road, what are they doing? calling empty cabs please come please come.
saturday...also good.
not true...you must know your way, never die.
Rain ? Whatever time , Comfort's booking system rules . The rest will come in unless Comfort taxis become unavailable .
Rain for Toyota Crown is dangerous to drive , Sonata and the rest not too bad .
Rain does slow down traffic .
Oldies , many i would say , felt that not worth it to earn that extra bucks and got themself into accident . So they chose to rest or lim kopi .
For the younger generation , rain guaratee more income . Just that they will never gets enuf .
During my time , for night shift , rain means Tuas Area 101% shortage of taxis , that was the time when manufacturing business is good . Not now .
Rain also will overall affect the whole of Sgp . From Shopping centres to HDB and indutrial estates .
Raining mean i am all the way booking ... no street hire .
My xperience on midnight with rain ... not much impact , even a Friday night with rain , the booking the most last until 1am .. after that , it's still taxi Q for paxes .
2009 , if rain like today , affected me ? Good or bad ?
I would say , really bad for me .
Let me explain ...
There's alot of old devil , cunning , clever driver out there .
what u can source , they can source faster than you .
Once rain , this old devil , chinese say LAO GUI , will know where to get paxes , which will stick within the area , paxes that never will touch those expressways , jam ma .
Like after 5pm , CCK MRT , where got paxes take cab go Orchard ? Mostly to Teck Whye la , Bt Pj la , CCK St 51 la , CCK st 54 la , Verdy Grove la , BT Batok even less now .
So the normal fleets of drivers who always wanna get out of CCK , will chose to stick around this area .
So it will affect the whole of one routine , my routine , their routine etc ...
Like me , tactically i will chose to remain in west area . The best is don't touch town like today , PIE , AYE all jammed up , KJE towards BKE also jam . How to earn like that ?
If not , today i will hit 2 century mark , if not for the rain .
I got $190 from 4.30pm to 12.30am .... again , that was a vast improvement compared to last week .
Tuesday , if no rain , i'll get 2 century mark !!!! I just need one more $10 customer ....
