What are the things that pax leave behind in your taxi?

  i have read the forum, people leave behind their expensive laptops, mobilephones, wallets,

  so please check the rear seat whenever the pax alight from your taxi.

  I once got a diamond ring , worth $1k , i " return " to owner .

  I once got a Sony Ericsson W810 , with lots of XXX video , i also " return " to owner .

  I once got a Nokia Best Handphone , 8800 , also " return " to owner .

  I saw many messages on my MDT for L & F .

  Things like spectacles ... crutch ... bowling balls .... key pouch ... documents file .... baby strollers ... a bag of fish from wet market ....

  I still cannot believe one can leave a baby stroller inside a cab , also that crutch , and spectacles .

  CM , i suspect cabbies' honesty in this issue . How many would be like me , " return " ? Even i would say , if i can don't give , i'll keep . Just that too late to keep most times .

  Thumb drive. The owner call the operator and had me dismantling the back seat to look for it, could not find it but instead found lipstick and some coins.

  it is not the taxi driver keeping the found items, normally another pax enter your taxi and quietly keep the found items.

  worst: when my former company was using comfort taxi voucher i lost one unused one inside a comfort taxi. an unknown lady went to use it. before that, comfort assured my ex-company that we would not be billed for that voucher, in the end they still bill us. so i offer to pay for it (less than $10) BUT my former boss insisted i make a police report which i did. but i told the inspector no need to investigate lar, there wont be finger print on the paper what.

  this is a true story but dont ask me which NPP this happened. a taxi driver found some M'sia currency (RM$500) and some S'pore currency (not much) in his taxi. he handed over the money to the police at the NPP. the policeman on duty took the money for himself.

  the next day when this policeman was not on duty the taxi driver came back to ask about the matter, the supervisor of that NPP was shocked. so no choice the matter had to be reported. and later it was discovered that the policeman who took the money spent it. and they could not come up with RM$500 to replace the found items. Singapore money easier to replace.

  so the matter was investigated. but i dont know what happened to the policeman who took the money for himself. maybe kena charged under criminal breach of trust as an agent - max punishment is life or ten years imprisonment.

  moral of the story: honesty is the best policy.

  me after driving 14 hours on Fri, i just park and go liao... too tired to even look behind.... haha got once got a illegal cigarette... my hirer asked me whose? ... i said dunno and dun care... he said he will smoke it.... haha
