wa ALN, you are pro! must bring you to lim kopi and learn from you
actually ALN is 100% right ... this sort of things text book never teach .
Text book just teach u can go Airport and Q ,but did they how you how long to wait ?
Airport got timing ...
Text book also never teach u from Jurong East to Orchard , which is the shortest route , they just teach " Must ask customer which route to take " ...
It's a new chapter after you passed .
Everyday got new things to learn , now i still learning the curve to successful driving . .
I like exploring new targets ...
Exploring new opportunities means exploring Gold mine for taxis .
but again , before exploring , must know routes , right ?
So another chapter before exploring .
That is why those hardworking oldies tends to know more lobangs .
Every new landmark , every new shopping centre , new hotels , new Hotel 81 , and every new highway , every new condo and housing area , means new opportunities , one new opportunity opens up different opportunities . I always encourage new drivers got chance ,do explore Gul Circle , Tuas areas , Tuas South areas and Joo Koon areas .... it'll do u good .
Once Pioneer and Benoi MRT station erected , means new challenge .
It's a tough challenge ahead , new challenge provide a new platform for some better opportunities .
New drivers , i don't encourage them to use " Lucky " in taxi driving ....
Luck played just a little part ....
Being practical , hardworking and with strategies .... played a much more important role in helping yourself in this trade .
At the beginning , due to freshness , one can achieved funny and prolific daily result , i said it due to freshness .
It's always hard to keep yourself fresh all the time , it's a psychology challenge for one .
Once it turn stale , it's all up in your head to how to deal with it .
Like me , once turn completely stale , i rest .... no hesistations , since September .
I got myself totally out of this trade for a while , cos i know , when i make a comeback , i'll be a better driver !

Thanks for bro ALN and Poolman's advice too. Those are really golden advice. I don't think but I'm SURE I will work very hard and smart as well with all your $600k worth of advice. (Not 2 cents).
Poolman bro, I agree with you. A rest is good, to take a short rest, short trip overseas, think and evaluate, then for me, I will go for courses during this period, pay more attention to everything around me and upgrade myself endlessly. Then make a comeback again. =)

Haha, thanks man. I do have a street directory of the old type which is better since the exam questions ask about old questions instead of new. (eg. old building names which no longer exist...) I do know the purpose why those questions are like that cos some customers know the "old name" of the building but somehow it has been changed to new building names after years. . . . .
if can bring in the Iphone then good good, can use google map :)
