Firstly got to thanks shifu Poolman and ALN for the many help thru here,
Finally went to make payment with Comfort Taxi and registered online course and went for medical @ SATA.Hopefully can pass 1st time and then meet up in future give kopi treat (my treat). Meanwhile just have to study hard and pass my test/exam 1st then can decide the rest.

The Best day to eat is those knnbccb Public Holiday , night shift damn jialat !!!!
Our next Public Holiday is on ... National Day .
Good day to eat .... If got Parade , even worst , nightmare to drive , day shift is going to be bad , night shift worst !!! Town major road simply blocked all the way til 9pm . Then everywhere near town jam after 9pm . If got Fireworks , then that's it , i am ready to eat , just wanna get away from town , as far as possible .

Back to the topic Axel ..... do spent sometime glancing thru the buildings ....
Think u can manage , cos u personal driver .
Then looked out for those Tourist Spots , those Landmarks .
Bus lane also must learn .... those timings .
Road names not so important , but the Q & A all on the syllabus . Do study by hard those Road Names appeared on the syllabus .
I complete my test in 30 minutes .
One time pass ... if dunno ask the tester for answers !!!
Don't laugh , they will give answers !!!!

Bus lane timing is I know not easy too as some place is standard timing, those in town is from morning till evening all the way with red line marking.
Road names on syllabus? What do u mean? U mean the online syllabus or will they give me a book?

Well, not sure if I'm right but I feel that it's at Mandai Road. Haha... now then I know that I'm missing so much working other jobs. Don't even know which road the zoo is located at....

some locations are clear cut... many are not.... like SAF yacht club, singapore swimming club etc even science centre i not sure after staying in jur for 20 years.... and then those embassies location sure you dun know unless u work in forein ministry.... denmark embassy where? korean embassy? egypt? u ask me now i also steam.... haha tong eng building??? haha

There are 5 modules where module 2 and 5 are hardest to pass on routes and landmarks. There is also a 1 day (8.30am to 1pm sunday) bus orientation with guidance by a LTA staff. Mine was good as he gave us lots of important info to watch out in the test. Pay attention and write down the hints and tips. There are quite a number of questions not found in the online lessons and model test questions. Example the online teach you how to calculate fare from 0001hrs to 0559hrs for midnite charge. Read the test question carefully as I kenna one that says pax board taxi say at 5.40am and alight at 6.10am. How to charge? hehehehe..
Also if possible take the morning session test as result is known immediately and you can consider to re-take in the afternoon session for those failed papers ($10 + $5 per paper). If you take the afternoon session test, by the time you are done, the office close and you need to come another day to re-take.

Ic ic. Thanks ALN, I will go check up more on those that you've mentioned. Even if didn't appear in the test, who knows one day I might have passengers asking me to ferry them there right?

Hmmm. regarding the 5.40am to 6.10am, how it's charge I know is base by the taxi meter itself that it will auto do the adjustment unless meter spoiled, then charges are base below by manual calculation, hope I'm right
Fare from 5.40am ~ 5.59am if = $5, then total = $7.5 (1.5 x midnight charges)
Fare from 6.00am ~ 6.10am = if total fare is $7 = $7 - $5 = $2
Then $7.5 (midnight charge) + $2 (normal fare) = $9.5 total. Hope I'm right. -

other tips:
a) how to maintain engine oil. Ans: must change every 5000 km
b) can u use passenger cash card to deduct ERP? ans: No
c) where is Causeway point located? Ans: Woodlands Square
d) Take note of the buildings around cecil street, shenton way, raffles ave, robinson road, whitley road (the vet place and SJI school), bt timah (esp the pte condo at coronation plaza), taman nakodah is located at where?
e) at what age must you go for medical checkup before exercise? ans: 35
f) study the bus-lane timing and peak hours and public holiday surcharge timing.
g) get a street directory to study the routes, it helps alot.
during the excursion bring a notebook, the LTA guy will give you tips, you better copy down.

by the time reach chinese gdn already close shop liao

whatever you learn during the course not everything can apply in real life, for eg during the test you must answer $2.40 for the taxi starting fare when you first board the taxi :)
whatever you do, DONT CHEAT or they will ban you for a long time, like one year? not worth the risk. for me i dont bother to cheat lar, i study very hard like going to take Phd exam like dat.
calculator and blank paper are provided for you to calculate the taxi fare. a lot of questions on this area. so take note of peak hours and public holiday surcharge.
take note of bus lane and erp operation hours during week days and saturdays.
if you dont study then prepare to fail.
