hey kirei, u serious? where u live har? got this type of lobang must let us know mah. It is a known fact that from 9am-930am all the pax magically disappear. On the dot 930am reappear by magic cos no more 35% surcharge. Around 11am there are very few passengers, tats why all the taxi uncles go for break. It's all economics, demand vs supply.

Within CBD ? No way u can complain if u are not at the designated taxi stand .eg , if u take my taxi number and LTA ( if they're stupid enuf ) call me , they sure kena teruk teruk from me .
My answer : " Regulation ma ... non-stand stand i cannot stop ma , up to 11pm . U all LTA set the rules ma , and u all got the gut to call me cos one commuter complain , do check ur regulation . "
Outside cbd if u complain me , there's a case to complain , but again .... if LTA call me again , straight away they kena upside down from me , they set the extra city $3 charge , so they expect me to take non city charge , good bye to my $3 ?At the first place , they should know the problem if such fare was implemented .

Somewhere 2 months before Christmas 2008 ....pls contact 1800-2255-582 , those LTA fellas will tell you the exact date . -
Also could be August 2008 or October 2008 , some where there , October more like it .

Thank Bros Poolman, I just want to check that how many months that I didnt charge for CBD, I passed my VTL online, so no kaki give info, only relised from this forum by Bros ALN, no wonder every time that I pk pax in CBD, I nv charge them, but some time I can get tip abt $1.50 to $2, wtf got fool by them. Thank U For this Forum can update all cabbies info. Cheers.................

i recalled the cbd $3 surcharge was started together with 35% surcharge.... that means Dec 2007 loh.... eh pool, CBD taxi stand rule up to 10pm nia... not 11pm.... u drive your merc too long until taxi info rusty liao har? haha....

vee, so you how long forgot to charge $3? ....haha me when first started also blur sotong and din charge the $1 cbd surcharge then.... forgot for 2 months....haha....

the north area. woodlands-admiralty-sembawang-yishun. One big piece for you. hahahaha.. cuz my friends tried to cab from their place to mine or I cab to their place. In the end.. likely to reach our destination same time as the public transport.

ALN...... U sure or not Dec 2007 ??? But luckily I got my Licence in FEB 2008, started to drive on May, one wk two times only, very kuku at that time, so don dare to go in town, except pax requested, long Q so go out kana $1 for nothing,so now if am inside dare not move around, bcoz not sure abt all the gantry timing, not worth to paid to go in, bcoz in CBD Q is very long, till the security guard chase U away, I only enlighten by Bros ALN in OCT , this is new bird lesson, so from now onward after 8pm I die hard to chiong CBD, bcoz my cab no satalite call, so work smart don need to work hard. LTA set the rules we play the game accordingly. DRIVE safety n happily.

Is it on weekdays or weekends? What about the time range? Perhaps we can post here the areas where plenty of taxis queue at certain taxi stands like mad but there's hardly any pax! Hope through this; some of our taxi masters here get more info and spread around, and hopefully we pax benefit in the near future too! LOL -

I think taxi uncles may not necessary win when they reject pax outside CBD and enter CBD to look for pax to earn that extra $3. If they just pick up the pax, the meter begins to run liao. But if they go into CBD and got to queue up to wait for pax, i think that extra $3 isnt worth it. I'd rather take the instant fare first and reduce my time wasted to increase my turnover and earnings. I look at Shenton Way CBD during evening peak and so many taxis queueing here and there to wait for pax...sigh. -

Day at bugis taxi stand paxs plenty in the afternoon...empty cab for sure not going in to pickup. why? pay ERP $2.00...on board $3.00 collection only left $1.00. go straight to sim lim tower on board $3.00. which you think is better for taxi uncles.

Than turn right to Little India Serangoon road, no need Q also pick and go many or at mustafa center plenty.
Why need the $2.00 for erp lost to the gantries by entering. where there is other choices.
That why? many on-call coming at about 3.30pm to 5pm at bugis taxi stand alway.

Changi Ferry Terminal - another area which severely lacks taxis! This ferry terminal not only serves to transport cars to JB side; there's also solely passenger ferry services operating! Wonder why the ferry service not operate from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal? Pointer to Cabbies - empty cabs roaming around Changi Village, Changi Airport Cargo Complex; can take up On-Calls mah? travel via Nicoll Drive to the ferry terminal pick up pax lorx! i don't think empty cabs would want to travel from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal all the way to Changi Ferry Terminal to pick up On-Call bookings? Maybe authorities should impose surcharge to encourage more cabbies go there?

being often driving myself and also on rainy days, I don't find it that difficult to drive during rainy days, but got to be slower. I don't understand why many cabbies rather go and hide. In fact its the best time to earn!
