It is indeed insulting for him to say that. If I were you, I would ask him where did he study. If he said he studied in a better institution that you, then you can say "Study so much for what? end up still be Taxi Driver". If he said he study in a worst institution than you, then you can say "You're no better than me".
Sorry if any Taxi Drivers feel insulted but this is really too much. Although I'm not from normal or from ITE, I have many friends there I don't see them as any way more stupid then I am. They might be just slower or maybe during their exams, something happened which cause them to not be able to perform better. I despise people who look down on people in normal stream or ITE.

Encounter few times with sot cabbies,Keep on cursing and swearing at other road users behaviour when he himself is much more idiotic than them.Get a good scolding from me in the end for jeopardising my life with his childish racer wannabe skills.Thanks to the companies for buying more elegant turbo diesel taxis.

The truth you're refering to is the past. ITE nowadays have very good lecturers and facilities. No longer like the last time version of "only lousy students go ITE". But it seems like some people's, especially the older people (not all), cannot or choose not to change their mindset about this.

It is a FACT that lousy students, albeit not all, go to ITE, but i did not say the students produced are lousy. So maybe, you should get your thoughts straightened out?
Subconsciously, you agree that lousy students go to ITE. We all know that.
Lecturers and facilities quality wise, i think its definitely comparable, but thats beside the point.
As there is a saying, ITE = Its The End. I would like to see that change in the near future, but oh well.

I'm not saying that you said the students produced are lousy. And 1 thing, not only the 2 extremes exist. There are people in between lousy and good.

I had to read TS's post several times before I finally understood what he was trying to say. I think he should make an attempt to write in as good a standard of English as he can possibly master. Writing, or talking in that manner can only perpetuate other peoples' misgivings about his education.
