Taxi companies in Singapore like Comfort , city cab and smrts are trying to maximize profits for their own companies. I need some examples of how they do so.
For eg- SMRT uses mercedes taxis to compete with other taxi companies as their mercedes taxis are comfortable to ride on and that it is fast as well.

Are you a fan of taxis? Welcome to the taxi's forum!
Singapore taxi biz is very competitive ...
First , Comfort rules .... then CityCab was created by SBSTaxis , Commuters and Airport taxis .
Then Trans Island created another company . After a few years , SMRT tookover Trans Island Taxis .
SMRT still cannot match Comfort and Citycab ....
They then launched unprecedented Mercedes Limousine Services ...good money .
Then Comfort and CityCab follow suit .
Citycab lost their drivers , so they launched their very own 7-seater Mercedes Vito .
SMRT shoot back with London Cab ...
more stories coming up ...lol
Then more taxis coy came up ..... launched new fleet more and more , newer and newer fleet , more variety ...
From Camry , Chrysler , Honda MPV , Wish etc ... of course Sonata .
Stupid i thought ....
I will just buy a few thousand Hyundai Getz as my taxi fleet .... rent out my taxi as in per hour basis , like $4.00 per hour , u used 10 hours , $40 nett .
All pro-rated ....
Flag down $2.40 ... the rest tariff follow general fares .
U sign out the taxi eg , at 8am .... return at 8.15pm , u be charge only 12.15 hour x $4.00 .
Diesel ? Take full tank , return full tank . No dispute .
Altis can be a good choice as taxis in my opinion.
Yup. Toyota Altis and Vios can be a good choice as a taxi. Countries like Thailand & Indonesia use that as a taxi.
But too many Altis on the roads already...very boring...haha...
