I will .... Carry out a Charity for All Taxi drivers Campaign ....
I will pay $100 ..... for every cabby , that turned out for my buffet dinner , at Tuas South .....
On a selected Friday evening , say 9pm to 10.30pm .
Only condition , they will have to stay at Tuas South for an hour , for the dinner .
Free flow of soft drinks , coffe or tea .
Now i want to see how the does Singapore look like .... when all 25,000 taxis is at Tuas South from 9.00pm to 10.30pm ????

Reached Tuas South , get a entry makan coupon ( with time stamp ) from me , eat and drink ..... after 1 hour after the stamped time , then go to my Cisco cashier take $100 , simple right ?

You gotta feed yourself and your family, others have to feed themselves and their family so obviously they're unhappy about the hike in fare prices and the feeling that they're being cheated of their money, I mean how can the meter jump 20c when it's state 330m is only 10c?

yup, just sit in a coffee shop with a laptop and collect money. deh, this biz oredy got pple doing for yellow top taxis. i wouldn't mind doing this biz. rental cheaper then CDG of course, snatch their biz mah. and oso offer more rental free days. hmmmz, wonder how many taxis a mil can buy me. rotfl

I believe our cabbies deserve better, I take cab often and I sympatise with them. They really got a hard life yet the passengers sometimes over demanding. Some of the cabbies are retrenced blue collar workers and their situation are far from desirable. I really hope we passengers can stop complaining about the fare hikes, I know it's not easy to get use to it but if you can't afford don't take the cab, there is always bus and mrt.
Poolman, I would like to see this situation too would be quite interesting. But how to find a space for 25,000 men to eat?

I think he does help me save a few millions if he join me into this campaign , so funny .If he does a similiar campaign to oppose me , the end-effect is the same , only diff ....i saved a few millions , cos someone chose to share the cost with me .
I really dun mind if i lose a few hundred thousand on my buffet cost .
The end-effect , wherever he chose to give his $$$ , at a certain time , just say 5 minutes , the whole of Singapore will be without cabs for 5 minutes .

If it does happen , from 9pm to 10.30pm , the airport will be no taxis , hotel going to Airport will be no taxis , CBD got money also no taxi home ... shoppers will be no taxis ..... many inconvenience for the whole of public transport ....
99% cabbies cannot earn $100 in 1.5 hrs ....

My point is , LTA has been underestimating the power of cabbies . we had enough of those fare manipulating from them .... many of us doesn't agree on the pricing set by them .... our say is not heard .
Now it's time we react , and prove our point .

i tihnk you should shut ur trap about this plan because it aint gonna work because not many ah peks would be a sgforum member, and mind you, 80 percent of taxi drivers are ahpeks. then comes the point of jamming up our travelling system? at airport there is limousine service mrt rides etc. point 3 is about you with your overinflated ego about sticking it to the government? man you are one dumb millionaire, you think the government will just stand back feeling regretfull for not listening to you drivers? they'd find you and then make sure you dont have a job for the rest of your life, and that goes along with your wife and kids as well. yea i agree with you LTA and the government is unfair at times, but dont think you can actually stick it up to them and get away clean with it. although you arent breaking any laws, they'd just prosecute you, hell, ITS THE GOVERNMENT MAN!!
