  A laptop that's good enough for gaming would probably set you back about 3k or more. For 2.6k, you can pretty much forget about good graphics. As for brands, don't go for Fujitsu and IBM, since those are mostly catered for business purposes, and expensive and yet do not have really good specs. I think Acer's laptops, those with ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 graphics, would be good for gaming.

  Good idea. For 2.6K 200 plus minus, you can easily get a NEC celeron.
