Monday!
My tuition kid is having his O Level prelims starting today.
Based on the mock questions I gave him yesterday...... let's just say that I don't have high hopes for him.
Exams seem so long ago, and they seemed to be the biggest things we could live for back then.
I was at NUS Bukit Timah Campus recently, and this what what I saw when I tried to use the lockers outside the campus gym:
Law undergrads using gym lockers to store their lecture notes and textbooks.
They couldn't even be bothered to pay 40 cents for use of the locker. Do these retards even know what a 'tort' is, or do they really need a 'Textbook on Torts' to help them define it?
If they're willing to take the risk, just use the locker and pay for it. Make them wait for you to return and get a lecture.

Here's the thing..... I was there on two separate days, three days apart. The belongings were all there on both days. It appears that they're using the lockers for long-term storage.
Note that there are actual long-term storage lockers nearby that cost about $30/semester to rent.
KNN..... pay 40 cents for $30 worth of long-term storage they also cannot tahan ah?

And the gym staff couldn't be arsed about it?
Hmmm, maybe they arent using it as a storage...
maybe they are using it as a trash bin...?
Tat's even worse...

Z O M G~~~
It's like the heaven suddenly listened to me for once~~~
Back when I was comtemplating a new phone to upgrade from my Sony Xperia S, I was abit disappointed by Sony Xperia Z Ultra. It was abit too big for me and the camera was a let down...
Was prepared to settle for Sony Xperia Z when I noticed, they are launching a Sony Xperia Z1.
Still water and dust resistant and at 5 inch screenn it's much smaller than Z Ultra, and the camera is nice 20mp with EXMOR light sensors (Digital states CMOS but it's actually EXMOR. Spotting 441 PPI (abit overkill I admit), it's one of the highest in display for current phones...
Finally, a phone which suits my specifications~
So excited now~~~

Out of curiosity, how did you have access to the gym at btc?
Or is BTC open to non-law faculty peeps on weekdays?
I usually cant get into the main building on weekends even as a NUS student!

Most kids dont really need tuition.
They just need to wake up their idea.
I dont have high hopes for my current batch of students either.
I would be VERY happy, if they can even PASS their A levels.
double post

The lockers were in the corridors outside the gym. Anyone (including members of the public) can walk those corridors.
And I'm not sure why you can't access the buildings.... BTC has night and weekend classes, and I have never seen them on restricted access mode.

Like I said in the homework forum..... kids for the most part do NOT need tuition. If they can just pay attention in class and do their homework conscientiously, they are already 80% on their way to academic success.
And tuition is totally wasted on some students. My student keeps doing badly for his Science and Maths subjects because he keeps disobeying my instruction to always give proper workings and statements wherever possible. I have been insisting on that ever since I started teaching in January last year, but to no avail. He seems to think that I’m trying to stifle his thinking and tekan him unnecessarily.
In the last mid-year exams, the kid failed his E Maths paper with a D7. I went through the whole paper and showed him that if he had just shown proper workings and statements, he could have gotten a B3.
And that was me being conservative. A2 would have been very possible.

I was aghast. Tried to access the main building, but couldnt enter.
The gym is inside that main building.
Unless there is another way to get to the gym...?
JEM JEM JEM...

sbst think of $$$ too much eh...?
think of $$$???? something wrong liao or he's ill...sbs usually fantasizes about buses, trains, ports, public transport, groceries
some kid in China slit his teacher's throat after the teacher confiscated his mobile phone because he was playing with it during class.. the phone was returned after class but the kid hung around and when the teacher was grading papers, the kid sneaked up behind him and slit his throat
