After the sale of Nokia, their ex-Asia Pacific CEO is setting up..... Newkia

This guy wants to make every Android fanboy's wet dream come true, but a lawsuit is on the horizon if this new competitor ever takes off. Replicating Nokia's hardware without infringing the patents that MS bought won't be easy.

Yeah. First of all, 'Newkia' sounds like a PRC ripoff firm (like you know, Hovono computer products or Asadi sandals or Babie dolls). I would have thought that it was a troll post by 9gag if CNet had not posted the news.
Secondly, Microsoft will sue their pants off for mispresentation and riding on their coattails. And they will bring in all the best lawyers money can buy (and boy, do they have lots of money)
Thirdly, I can think of a better name for the company: Zilliacus. Named after the fella himself, Thomas Zilliacus. Cool, distinctive, and it makes a clean break from Nokia.
How about that, Tommy? Wanna make me your Chief Technology Officer?
Zilliacus does sounds pretty cool and sci-fi~~~
and I agree that newkia wouldn't have enuff financial backing to take on MS...
New kid on the block is no match for one of those big boys...
and this morning i watched the news on samsung's mobile-note-watch
I have a Pebble (Kickstarter Edition) watch.
Got it from an old guy who sold it cheaply to me. He said his son got it for him, and he had no use for it.
If only he realized that people were selling it on eBay for nearly double the price he was offering me.
morning folks
And it's back to Monday...
and it's Fri 13th this week
I just had a really tense phone call.
What was supposed to be a simple call about a billing enquiry made me nearly blow up.
The customer service operator kept interrupting me while I was talking. Not only was that very rude, it also meant that I could not give her important information.
And she kept rounding up numbers to the nearest thousand. For instance, she stated '4600' as '5000'. Seriously, who on earth does that? Of course I got extremely confused.
monday blueeeesssssssssssssssss hitting hard!
I can't think of an idea more boneheaded than that...
Oh wait, killing off the sub 1-litre car category years ago was worse.
Just turned Esme the guide dog case into a case study for the afternoon...
the discussion had been quite fruitful...

Not exactly surprising?
But me reckons COE will also be up for more fundamental changes soon either way.
But this one is more of a short-term knee-jerk.
actually it's no simple solution to ease traffic congestion on the roads... Apart from building another road above an existing road (which of coz will provide all sorts of problem), I feel there's no way we could afford 6.9m on our transport infrastructure...
Like wise for our telecommunications... and what about water and electricity? eating space etc...?
I still think 6.9m is suicide...
To remain competitive in the region is one thing, but to make us living into tightly packed automated sardine factory...? So what has being "competitive" rewards us with? The big bosses gets richer and the poor gets made into slaves...?
