monday
Morning....
Beejee monday morning attending 1 meeting and clearing my emails and stuff...
but still better then last few weeks >__>
it's monday.. but it's only afternoon shift..
weekend was night shifts.. no rest whatsoever at all during the shifts, and catastrophic lack of manpower during the shifts.. somehow made it through the shifts without much incident...
Since I've already graduated from NUS, they're shutting down my NUS email account at the end of the week.
They asked me to migrate it to an NUS alumni account, which I attempted to do. The server insists that I have already set it up (which I didn't), but said that I can't log into the alumni account.
So I emailed their alumni IT support email..... only to receive an Autoreply to say that it doesn't exist.
So I shot another email to the customer service account belonging to the NUS alumni organization, asking them to account for this farce. Still no word from them after 48 hours.
FML.
!!!!
What if the whole NUS alumni commitee is just a program or bots???
actually why not try asking "they" ??? since they asked u to migrate to their other email server, you can try contacting them since obviously the other side isn't responding...
I really don't want to contact the main NUS admin, seeing as how they sent me the invitation to apply for convocation....... on the day of the convocation ceremony.
And they initially insisted that I could not attend next year's convocation..... and only relented after I sent a really brutal email to their management.
Needless to say, I have lost a lot of love for the university I was at for many years.
Just chanced upon this article in yahoo... Abit mixed feelings, of coz there are some manner of truth in the article but still writing like a demeaning(spelling?) post...?
and guess what...? Singaporean writer... I shant pressume if she had any bad experience with them...
and if they are talking abt hypocrite? I dunno which is more hypocrite, those green tea girls or those followers of them commenthing ugly remarks but still stalks them like massive cases of sour graps...
Nowadays even in other forums, as long as someone isn't able to snag a pretty girl, they accuse them of gold-diggers...
Check this out~ Someone did an "Eric Cantona" on a ref...

that sucks. at my uni, we had both the student and "alumni" (this is really a forwarding set up) and on grad, the student email was disconnected.

From sgag:
In my opinion, the ST cartoonist has totally missed the point about the majority of Singaporeans wanting a slower pace of life and willing to accept slower economic growth as a trade-off.
Slower economic growth does NOT equate to poverty. To use an analogy, let's say you already have $100 in your wallet. To accept slower economic growth means to accept doing less work to have $110 tomorrow instead of working your butt off to get $150. You are not becoming poorer; you are only becoming richer at a slower pace that may be easier for you to manage.
A friend of mine in industry had a heart-to-heart talk to me when I asked him to help me get a job in his firm:
'The money is good, but you have to understand that I have to work like a dog to get it. Overtime is the norm, burnt Saturdays are common, and the occasional burnt Sunday has happened. I usually cannot see my baby girl while she's awake. My workload has strained my relationship with my wife. You really should think about whether this is what you want.'
He just forwarded my CV anyway with his recommendation. Now when I think about it, I'm actually kinda glad his firm didn't have a suitable opening at the time.
Yeah, slower economic growth does not mean proverty to us...
And higher economic growth also does not mean riches for us...
Most Singaporean understand that even working their butt off for higher economic growth, u seldom get to see ourselves reaping benefit from it... it's usually the big corporation tat benefits...
morning guys
No one does extreme pranks like the Japaese do.
eeekkkk!
