evening
Guys... SMRT's recommendation to take CCLe to Bayfront to get to Gardens by the Bay is a gimmick... Cos that MRT Stn's exit to Gardens by the Bay is at 1 end corner of the Gardens, right beside the ECP...
the signage to the MRT Stn is no better... walk under ECP, via ASM, Casino in order to get to the Bayfront Stn...
The SMRT shuttle bus from Marina Bay is screwed up scheduling... only 400 is reliable...
those driving
do take note the exiting Marina Gardens Dr as it reaches outside.. it's only 2 lane, not 3...
The most right lane is closed.
yes boss.
ok lah i take 2 for 1 price
back home!
Nasty accident to the F1 test driver Maria de Villota today - the car accelerated into the back of a stationary truck and her helmet struck the tailgate.
Stable condition now......
Speedy recovery.
Visited the garden in/at/by the bay today....
As commented by a friend, it does resemble more like a rich man's garden and seemingly less interesting than Haw Par Villa....which ironically, was also a rich man's garden.
I facepalmed when the papers called it 'Singapore's own Central Park'.
My point is, culture and identity is not something that you can manufacture overnight. Whether or not that park is going to be an integral part of the Singaporean identity is not something you can proclaim on opening day.
Its too artificial.
Besides giving me tired legs and being forced to eat junk food since I refused to pay for 8 bucks chicken rice............I'm not sure what else I gained.

i think inside... the outside no need...
but the interesting bits => admission charges
this is Singapore.. what do you think?
I used to think underwater world was expensive.
I still think it is.
But when I saw what would set me back to see what's inside this and that at the garden, it puts things in perspective, the wrong way.
Oh by the way.
$5 to go up the bridge.
And yes. I paid that. Because I dont think I'll be back in a jiffy.
