my last trip to Bali was in year 1990? ie HRC is not even built yet... dun say Macdonalds and stuff... there is only 1 proper cement road at Kuta...the rest is padi fields and mud road :) hehehe..

and this is what i overhead in the gym this morning: "yeah, every year i WALK the scsm...sunday romantic walk"
look, i don't really have an issue with people walking...but if you're gonna sign up for a run, please train for it. i've even seen folks walking from the gun off in a 21k.
I don't know about the other routes, but the half marathon route was chocked full of slopes. There were at least 5 slopes in sentosa, then after we leave sentosa, we were confronted with a huge slope up the fly-over and then another very very steep slope up ECP. Not to mention that the ECP stretch is also somewhat hilly....

nope...stayed in seminyak and day trip to kuta is all my experience with bali
i saw on tV.. everybody seems to be bumping into each other in the cordon area by the side of the road....! -.-"
Actually I had thought that the marathon crowd would just stretch out after awhile but seems like it was just crowded all the way....

it's like that every year...only the faster guys have minimal (not zero) congestion
anyway, i've been feeling like a total sloth since the run yesterday...eating and almost zero moving about...will probably put on some weight

cycling in a large group = safety issues???
cycling leisure means cycle slowly bah...i guess it is less dangerous than those who sped.. last year while i was there (not cycling ^^V), i witness the cyclist damn fast siah.. plus lots of distraction on the lane they cycled.. especially from the public

it's nothing fancy, just like giodarno, bossini, uniqlo etc though the price range seems to suggest otherwise. in europe, they're the lower mid class range.
ok, i do have a few pieces from zara and mango...i've nothing against them.

Yup that's the thing.
I know they are the lower mid class range in Europe but their pricing suggest otherwise here -_-"
I've nothing against them but I just don't buy their clothes because I don't think the quality justifies the price tag and also especially for Mango, the item goes on a huge discount after a while
Anyway, some people are so brand conscious that it becomes ridicules.
Like someone said to me that Hiroshima bags are really expensive ($369 for a calf leather bag) but Coach bags ($500+ for a canvas bag) is cheap and the Longchamp cheapo canvas bag at 200+ is cheap too
