separate room for my stereo (new floorstanding speakers and equipment rack. )
time to save more aggressively for renovation costs.

between zora and i, the monthly payments can be through CPF for a short while before the place is fully paird... that is after they drain the rest of the CPF which is in there... but the COV part, is effing hard to swallow...

What I did to prevent my CPF from being totally drained was to remove an amount (perhaps an amount that can pay for about 12 months worth of the CPF payments) to some 'fixed deposit' investment temporarily.
Then let them deduct already, then I took the money out of the investment. This way.. in the event I lost my job or don't "feel like working" for a while :P at least can tong paying off CPF lor... :(

hey! I never thought of it that way. this means the amount I invested (enough for more than 2 years of mortage payments for an average priced hdb) can be used as an 'emergency fund' :D
