and actually technically it's still illegal to bring in any amount. It's illegal to import to sg and in legal terms, importing 1 gram is still importing. But of course they don't catch, or if they do, they just dispose.
Then I really hope he wasn't using any illegal means to obtain it locally from legal vendors. And also, he is responsible enough to dispose of it properly.

Tat petition thing is now on PAP Times and Zaobao.. apparently kena sent to DB for 5 days for not obeying to orders. During tat 5 days, he ate only uncut fruits (wait, in my NS days apples or oranges were served as whole)
Anyway the apparent caused for e end of e petition was cos e eventual charge is 3 yrs and they got frightened off
