  yeah.. they're the ones which leave the nest and breed.. creating more colonies..

  usually they come out when it rains.. and everything eats them coz they're a great source of protein..

  I was in school the whole day. It was raining cats and dogs (and hamsters and mice and all other sorts of varmints) there.

  My mom didn't say anything about flash floods near home.... though I guess Katong and Joo Chiat would probably have been flooded.

  the floods subsided quickly.. but it was up to about a metre high...

  shorted out a few cars which got caught in the water

  nope ....

  today's was a freshwater lure fishing trip ... catch and release only. I caught nothing except an impending cold and maybe cikugunya from all the mozzie bites ... my feet looked almost like cottage cheese just now ... 

  friday-to-saturday's catch was bad, only two keeper sized ones for me the whole night ... one seabass, one stinky catfish that swallowed the hook, two junior groupers, one baby jobfish, one cute little toadfish and a junior conger eel was released.

  I was hyper for the whole weekend cos I drank 6 cans of tiger mixed with 4 cans of red bull on the trip ....
