u swing, the higher u swing the more power.
if u use brute strength, its wrong.
i mean, the ball heavy .. and so not much strength to swing the arms .... haha..
Or maybe I have been doing it the wrong way right from the beginning?!

Yeah, the graphics is pretty infantile. Hopefully they will work on giving the characters proper bodies.
The Wii is very fun but it's better if you have a large area to play in. I can't have one because my living room is way too small and prohibits movement.

then maybe its too heavy for you?
get a lighter one and get more control first.
weight for me, just affects my fingers because i need to cling onto the ball during the swing and release when needed
if the ball is too heavy, my fingers will get ache (from the weight of the ball, but usually incorrect sizing)
that is why people get their own balls, the holes will be drilled to match your own hand and finger size.

usually use a 9 .. but sometimes have to use 8 if there are no 9 balls.. but at times 8, cannot really put my fingers in then its uncomfy..
Don't want to get my own ball coz i don't bowl often mah..

ayiah den use the 9
but bowl properly.
by right u should feel not tired because of the strength u used
more like the muscle is tired from all the swinging...
i threw a strike with a child's 6-lb ball before
fingertips and tip of thumb into the holes only...
that's the great part about spinning.. left or right of head-pin, most of the pins will go down.. the spinning the ball like a top also ensures the ball stays straight when it's going down the lane...
in my department bowling comp, got laughed at by the hardcore bowlers when i picked up the 9-lb ball.. they weren't laughing when i beat them
time to go bowling with bear and kopi and pick up some tips!

i find it hard to control a spin because my release is usually just rolling the ball straight.
are spins supposed to smack down the centre on pin 1 or between 1 - 3 (like a straight)
one thing i hate is when for no reason the bowl doesn't seem to go straight.
i think its either the oil on the ball or the lane.

in the 1-3 or 1-2 pocket.. doesn't matter which..
for straight bowlers, just impart the spin.. which ensures it doesn't stray off.. like in the video, you see the spin causes the ball to move differently from the standard straight bowler when it hits the pins so it takes down the rest of the pins more effectively..
but before everything.. must.. get.. better.. first...
p.s. i remember chronos is a spin bowler too.. and dot and www tried spinning with their own bloody heavy reactive balls
In Low Ball the lowest possible score wins. The bowler MUST knock down at least one pin for every ball thrown. Gutter balls and misses are counted as 10 points. The lowest possible score is 20. This game is very competitive and great for practicing picking up the sometimes elusive 7 or 10 pins.
ok time to go watch tv.

Nintendo realized that they couldn't fight Sony in terms of graphics.
So instead of taking on Sony head to head, they chose to outmaneouvre them instead with innovative gameplay.
And.... voila! That's how they came out with the DS and the Wii to fight the PSP and PS3 respectively.

the PS3 can do everything the Nintendo Wii can do.. but snobbery led Sony to go with the most brutally powerful and graphically intense games around.. lots of which left out the 'fun' factor...
now, why would one want to play a game if it wasn't fun?
i'm so outta tune here. i've never bowled, never owned a PS, PSP, Wii etc - lack of resources when i was growing up i guess.

well, i never had anything when i was growing up either apart from bored.. uhh.. board games and running around catching insects, fish and whatever..
bowling is fun.. i picked it up only when i was dragged into playing in the department bowling comp.. it was fun so i did a bit of research and stuff on the interweb..
there's something disturbingly satisfying when you blast a pile of pins with something heavy..
