this is getting freaky ... I think gau gau's got some higher intelligence to her ....
you guys know the little fence in my backyard right ? ... seperating cookie from gau gau ? ......
gau gau's learnt to open the gates by pushing and pulling it with her paws .... so we just added a wire loop over it .....
I was watching her just now .... she's using a paw to lift up the wire loop, after seeing me do it once !!!!! .....

There was a pair of huskies who ran away frm home.
the Hubby latched the gate w/o padlocking, coz it was only for a spllit sec to grab keys.. turn back, and dogs gone.
Bring gau gau out more often? say go swimming? tire gau gau out totally until dun wan move for 3 days?

You too, tare? I've walked into a lampost before when I was in Secondary Sch. I was trying to look into the apartments along the street when I walked smack!... right into a lampost! My classmates laughed but I can tell you, it was painful as all heck and for a while, my vision was a bit darkened and I could see spots falling from the sky.
You know, the sensation you get just before fainting? I didn't faint, but I had to stop and hold on to the railings for a while to steady myself. I've walked into my cats before, just because they were following me in and out of the house.
Actually, correction... I didn't walk INTO them... it was more like walking ONTO them! Heng ah, none of them kena flattened! -

My last cat learnt to open the windows after observing me too. Dogs and especially cats can be extremely smart. -

gau gau is lazy ..... it's me who have to drag her to go on a bit further every evening on her walks .........
she's content to walk up and down and sniff at the same patch of ground every single day, bark at the same stray cats, poop at the same spot in the park ..... and she gets antsy and starts straining at her leash if I try to vary the route ...

Are you in SG? Nxt time I bring the girls to pasir ris for a swim i ask u alongi show u how i force the dog to swim....
and how the leash can be wonderfully used to hold the dog in place while they flip flap to try to reach the sides of the pool....
I was @ the beach few mths back wif the girls... jewel refused to be a good girl and swim long and hard....
I leashed her, and swam out ... and floated ard while she tried her best to paddle back to shore....
the beauty of water - no friction!
