new co want me to just pay notice in-lieu and go... but i personally feel bad cos my current boss last day on tis fri and my new boss is now on reservist and back next mon... i thot at least be ard for my new boss for 1 wk....
BUT... HR just come out with list of time i OWE the co. they have implemented a new rule, if u r late for 1 min u pay back 2 min on the same day... and wat u pay back another day is NOT counted... now i owe them 1hr 10mins!!!! $%@$#^#%$@^@#$@$Q%$@ and he said i must pay back everything today!!! WTF???!!!! i told him then those i put back another day not counted?! and i TODAY CANNOT STAY!!!! /rage

When you tender tomorrow, say you'll work until a certain date (maybe end next week or something) then the rest you'll pay notice in lieu?

cos appt letter they very clever put 5.5 day wk... then we only work once every 2mth, the sats we dun is co GIVE us off de... so when we tender, no more 'benefit'... so have to come back...like my future boss say, it's like a punishment to tender...

question: can they enforce something which they just throw at you even when it is not in your contract of employment?
another question: is this written anywhere which says that they can arbitrarily enforce on their employees?

idk but in tis co. apparently they can, since it's not explicitely stated otherwise... our employment letter and staff handbook is especially brief... they cover their backside very well de... -
well ... methinks just grit your teeth, curse them, but diam diam and guai guai do what they want and move on lor ....
it's a bad time to be nitpicking with them ... since they seems intent on screwing you over ......you're moving onto a better place anyways ....

that is THEIR problem, not yours...why bother?actually on your bonus...now only 2 months, at least not much of a loss but usually if we leave miday, we sometimes negotiate with new company to pay us the bonus. it's tough but possible.

they probably covered their ass pretty well.
the best thing is to just take it and let the new co pay off the notice period
