Did the contract state that Annual and Medical leave will be forfeited in contract?
Co is supp 2 pay the annual leave earned one leh.

in ur letter, definitely must date the letter, and state that you're giving them how much notice, then ur last day of service with them is xxx date ..
U got leave to clear/offset? I doubt they will encash ur leave right?
tare- they can't forfeit ur leave just like that. They will need to pro-rate accordingly .. If they try to cheat u, tell me!

btw, do you guys submit resignation via written letter or email these day?
my prev job was offsite, so I sent an email + dispatched the letter. -
most of the time is written .. except for once, the sup was out of town, then the staff sent an email to resign ..

not mnc lah...contract only state very very basic things and to co. benefits de... and all these leave forfeited etc is they later add on de... over the almost 3 yrs i'm here, things get added as and when boss feel like it ...
anw for tis yr, i've cleared my pro-rated leave up to date hahahahahaaha

And you might wish to check wif MOM if it's legal to makan ppl's pro-rated leave
And please remember to delete all your work in the PC before you leave.

I actually deleted off all the customers' summary of data I did to ease my work. And the reports I ran to obtain data. And I din tell the new girl how to obtain it.
Those were my own hard work for myself. the company din deserve the additional help i can give

Tare should not be covered under the EA, but of course, if she makes a formal complaint to MOM, MOM will still take up .. its gonna be a real long process though..
Just hope that her lady boss and her can come to a compromise ..

Once you hand in resignation, not much work la. Do slowly, go in on time, go off on the dot. Not like they can rant at you. Just don't do too "obvious" coz you don't want people talk about you. Legal community very small. Don't want gossip.

legal industry small, IP even smaller.. but the 'good thing' is, it's very easy to explain to prospect employer why i'm leaving.. my lady boss' reputation has preceded her >.<

my ex-colleague threw all the documentation into the rubbish bin before he left because he hated the understudy
chicken king the best lah
that was all our training and reservist records
but the thing was that a new workaholic supervisor came in, took over the mess... cleaned everything up, got recognition for his hard work

where is it? i stay near there..how come i dun know one! -
i think the best is not to burn bridges if you want to continue staying in that industry. Singapore very small.. you never know whether you will bump into ex colleagues/ex bosses again in your future work.
Do a reasonably good handover .. so that they got nothing to say about you. Get to work on time, get off work on time. Don't do so much OT .. handover as much as possible to whoever taking over you.
And take a break b4 you start ur next job ..

some asswipe threw away all the files at work when he left...
threw it in the huge sack of waste paper which was going to be pulped..
that piece of crap was well hated by everyone because he loved to carry balls.. and worse, the people he carried, don't like him but used him anyway because they were cut from the same cloth.. those who would sell their mothers to the brothel if they could...
he left for a job in the middle east.. i think they'll probably kill him and behead him if he behaves the same way there
