M'sia is stopping of taking in foreign workers.. goodness, tat's their method of getting jobs for those retrenched workers in Singapore?

I think the diff in the currencies has something to do with how Sg manages the economy. Use monetary policy / currency exchange whereas most countries jiggles the interest rates. Anyway thought MAS was looking at readjusting this rate to try to fire up the economy / exports?

it's not the most subtle means available ... but I suppose it gets the job done ....
they are not like us .... they have to contend with the ironic situation where we're importing theirs at the same time they are importing others .....
we don't have to worry about a horde of jobless singaporean chaps flooding back from overseas .....

Intel for eg is going to shut it's M'sian plants in Penang

But a weaker S$ means importing food would become more costly as wellgotta strike a balance
