I have nothing against the asses, nor am I particularly pro elephants, but their political process seems to ensure that the sweetest talkers, instead of the most able man, gets on top .....
such a pity about al gore ... maybe everything could have been different 8 years ago ....

its the chill out place of the most feared RSM in the assforce for almost 10yrs!
only enciks go there to have a drink (they were also taking a risk of getting chromed by the RSM)
after the RSM retired then people started to go to the mess.
otherwise my entire service, including my seniors were spent giving money to a mess we never used... and to subsidise the cheap beer, karaoke machine, aircon bills for the RSM and enciks
but there is one colleague of mine, was the RSM's drinking kaki.
he's the only fella from the lower ranks who could PR with the old man.

i can even count how many times i went to the mess to attend anything
some stupid meeting where all of us had to sit on the floor like schoolkids during assembly, just to listen to some overpaid LTC mofo talk about our job which he never experienced.
another time was for the celebration of the qualification of the NSFs.
i think one more is for some parade stuff and we waited there.
other than that, i only visit once in a while to tuang while doing despatch at the base
i hate the assforce

Actually, I think the celebrations are mainly for dubya's exit from the white house. 2 term limits exist for this very reason.
