NNB......went to buy RCA wire to chiap my ipod into the hi fi and everything went wrong.

you need some sort of mini to RCA cable. -
I'm assuming you want to plug the ipod into yoiur amplifier's rca input jacks

You havent heard my story....I got the RCA, I got the music going.When it was time to unplug, the bloody wire got stuck in the hi fi.
CCB.....I grabbed the wire head (not the wire), and do tug of war, the stupid head separated from the plastic sheath.
Left with no choice, I had to use plier.
NNB.....I'm sitting next to the brand new but destroyed wire now.

You used bull strength to unplug???!!! I would have thought a delicate touch would be more than sufficient! No wonder it didn't "cooperate"! LOL!
