Speak of grapefruits.
My chef just came back from the Gulf on board RSS Resolution.
They called on the Mid East ports like Bahrain, Dubai, and he came back to my ship with "exotic" mid-east food. Like the fruit juice he got.
2 types gave us all a deep impression.
1) Orange.
The carton prints claimed the juice is "pure" and "unsweetened". And it was probably truthful. Indeed it was clearly not sweet, and the juice did not appear too unlike oranges. Unfortunately the oranges were probably the types that were plucked unripe, and then ripened using chemicals. It was undoubtedly the most "unsweet" orange juice I had.
2) Grape.
Also claimed to be "pure". But it was probably grape skin we were tasting....it was freakin bitter!
