Ok my parents dun nag at me like that and at weird times of the day.
End of the day they are just worried about your well-being because it seems ingrained in them that their children HAVE TO GET MARRIED and HAVE KIDS
They only nag at me to stop being a pack rat and improve on my cleaning except my dad have this thing of playing with grandchildren and he is nagging at my mum to nag at me :x

ya lor .. i guess parents are like that .. they view that their "job" is only completed when their kids are grown up, got their education, career, husband/wife, and kids ...
And they are worried that if you remain single .. who is going to take care of you when u grow old? at least you are there for your mum now .. but when she's no longer around, and you're at her age, then how?
At least this is my mum's worry ... lol ..

This is my parents worry too but to me is that these days I'll be happy if I don't need to support the kid when I'm old. Haha
MPB have it worse. He is the only child out of 3 who is married and he is the youngest.

Its incredibly selfish to want to get married just because one is afraid that there's no one to take care of oneself when old. the responsibility goes both ways.but anyway my main beef right now is her barging in and yammering about my stuff taking up space in the house. ..........WHEN EVERYTHING IS IN MY FRIKKING ROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i argued with the folks almost all my life about this too....
they slowly realised everything i argued with them over, i was right.. thing is, it took a long long LONG time...
i guess it's a thing most Singapore single folks still living at home with their folks are fated to suffer
