i just blew 4 hours at popular bookhop getting stationaries. $106 for some basics like 6 1.5 inch arch files, 20 transparent L shape folders, pen holders, electric pencil sharperner, calculator, rulers, scissors, pencils, hard cover exercise books, generic payment vouchers, highliters, erasers, stapler & staples, street directory,puncher plus some colour tags....and they are for my father. By the 2nd hour, i was kicking the basket of stationaries around the bookshop & trembling. The worst was when i have to lug those stuffs to a taxi stand, thankfully a young lady seeing my difficulties give up the taxi for me and even help me bring those bags of stuffs into the taxi. i really hate tannery lane. no busses that is really useful to me and taxis are harder to come by. sigh....still need to go buy 2 office phones, a fax machine & a comp mic headset so he can do skype & some more stationaries even though I am bringing my own stash of stationaries to the office. It also looks like I should get a pail, some detergent & teabags & mugs.

popular do have delivery services you know ... you just have to ask for them .... I worked there during my secondary school days more than 10 years ago ... you just have to ask ...

For the amount you bought, you could have just called the stationery shop, faxed or emailed them what you wanted, and gotten them to deliver it to you! Popular delivered a last minute order to my office before. Most large stationery shops will provide this service.

I told papa, that the office we are renting from, should have those bookshop that can deliver kinda phone list...heck we are in tannery/genting place, lots of stationary distributor here. his reply: No no! we are a separate company and should not be mix with the rental office blah blah. Then i convinced him to give me $200 and promise that i will go buy stationary on my way home and bring to office in the morn. he insisted that i go buy in the afternoon and bring to office on the same day before i go home. -

even flipping through the yellow pages and calling up a random stationery supplier would have been so much easier.

seriously speaking, i worked in huge mnc and knows stationary companies delivers. but papa wants to 'low profile' insisting that this is a small company & thus does not warrant such 'servicees'. so this miserable one hand daughter does the low profile job of buying stationaries and carting them back asap.

Am trying...but that man!!!! I am pretty certain I did not inherite his genes except the one called 'Micro managing'. I already purchased items meant for use for him, some old practise that I picked up in the MNc and the law firms. Can you believe that I have to say that its what I learned at the lawfirm before he will accept the idea? -

i actually do understand his logic and his needs for total control...its definate he grew into it from his rash youth & the result of the marriage to my bimbo mother.he went thru glory days as a business man and then a poor street food seller with a young 2nd wife and a baby girl in his 40s.
to be where he is now, he struggled, starved and only now where he is thru hard dirty work. did i ever mention that he refuses us female chidren to be in his line of work?
he was accustomed to me being a high earning secretary instead of a lowly clerk. so he tries to make me takes a peg down so i wont be overly ambitious and spendthrift with his companies.
