But it admits it's very tough to fight against PSA, only pull factor it can effectively give easily is being 'cheap'

Looks like there are a few of us who are ignoring the World Shutdown Day call! Hehehe!
Anyways, I have my own personal shutdown day on one day midweek, every week for the past month or so. Sometimes, I shut down for more than a day a week, so it's ok that I flout this one! Hehehe!
What plans do you peeps have for the weekend?

It did. The govt bowed down to their request in the end because they held up traffic for more than 24 hours at the very busy junction outside Flinders Street!
It was a massive gridlock, but they got what they wanted, which sounds very reasonable, actually : a safety shield to protect them from passengers who might assault them, and pre-paid fares for night rides. I think the cabbies fought for action when yet another of their mate got seriously wounded after a passenger bashed him up. Lots of cases like that here, where they are either drunk or drugged or are just out to rob the cabbies.
