  I've caught queenfish (ikan talang), spanish mack (batang), mirror trevally (ikan chermin), wolf herring (sai to) on those things .....
  
  once I saw my friend hooked up a 2 kilo grouper among the pillars underneath the second causeway offshore ....
  
  those things will catch anything ...

  no na.. me used to just enjoy going out off shore Singapore only...
  
  fishing was an excuse to spend all day doing nothing on the boat nuah ... getting a bite is a bonus

  hmm like i said most of my 'experience' is just offshore singapore.. once in Indonesia water where I got nothing but seasickness all night.. very bad rocky seas (plus crew lost the anchor!!!!)
  
  eh Singapore mostly I remember catching smaller groupers, the.. 'ang zo ki' dunno wat tt is called.. cold weather night fishing all sharks .. loads of tor sat cat fish... dont think i ever caught any bigger than 1 kg even.. if lucky only 500 gm all small small illegal oens...
  
  and my biggest fish is a chiomeng.. that's a batfish issit?
  
  but i heard tt fish really feels pain one.. so .. i stopped

  I actually don't enjoy boat fishing that much .... unless it's a big boat ....
  
  used to hang out at my friend's family's 65 footer ..... now that's life ! ....
  
  but now he's based overseas so all my lobangs gone ...

  ya its horrible.. usually if just offshore i use one of those bumboats so very super stable...
  
  but the indonesia one was very jialat experience.. everyone on board vomited..

  there are indeed a lot of ship wrecks off singapore ..... all navigation hazards ...
  
  last time to go diving we'd lug our gear all the way to jardine steps ....
  
  nowadays we'll take a workboat from RSYC ...
