or fried pomfret
or ikan kuning in nasi lemak

they can be caught with tiny hooks on floats year round .....
but around CNY time they school into the shallows to spawn .... that time you can get the biggies ....

i like it when it's fried and braised in dark soy sauce, fermented beans, ginger, chilli and garlic..
