if i recommend going ahead (which the boss wants to do) i would be stepping on a bunch of people we owe a lot to..
if i don't recommend going ahead, the boss won't be happy with it...
if i recommend not going ahead (different from not recommending anything), i'll piss off the guy who came to us to push this proposal
this sucks...
to add to this, i'm supposed to gather ALL the effing history of my bloody section, and the activities and policies which spawned this bloody section, and write something out of it, and then send it to a bunch of idiots who will turn it into rubbish anyway...
can't believe the past submission, cleared by the boss and sent to them, was turned into a pile of crap which was factually wrong.. they didn't send it back to us for clearance, and just printed it... and the boss is not happy with ME!! WTF?? like i'm going to tell a bloody Senior Director to clear the damned thing with me before sending it for print???
*&^#!! and now this effing project i have in my hands, is getting out of hand too.. i think of one thing, the boss doesn't like it.. the bloody vendor comes back with something the boss likes, now the DD doesn't really like, my boss seems unhappy with me?? WTF??
damn... ranting..
just too much work.. and all of it is irrelevant to our core duties, all of it is pointless, all of it is wasting of space, time, energy, resources and worse...
but... they seem to be so bloody into these things..

Is your place renewing its SQC and PD now?
Mine is, and a metric ton of paperwork is being created and much time is being wasted on this -
they don't want me on their bloody team..
when we first got SQC, i got into a big argument with the asswipes from PSB or whatever the hell they are...
i basically told them during a class that everything they were recommending we do to get the award was screwed, irresponsible, stupid and almost criminal.. and i showed them that it was...

I've always thought that there should be no 'briefings' to 'prepare' people for interviews with the people doing the assessment.
I guess the silver lining in all this is that you'll never be selected for the interviews -
