HDB resale prices in Q3 remain unchanged, transactions fall
SINGAPORE: Resale prices for Housing and Development Board (HDB) flats remained unchanged in the third quarter from the previous one, said the agency in its press release on Friday (Oct 28).
The Resale Price Index remained at 134.7, but resale transactions have seen a tumble, HDB added. The number of resale transactions fell 5.5 per cent to 5,514 from 5,838 in the second quarter, according to its statistics.
As for HDB rentals, the number of applications approved for subletting decreased by 8.8 per cent, from 11,824 in the second quarter to 10,789 in the third quarter, HDB said.
As at Sep 30 Sep, 52,394 HDB flats were sublet, an increase of 0.4 per cent over the second quarter's 52,171 units, it added.
In November, HDB will offer about 5,090 new flats in Bedok, Bidadari, Kallang/Whampoa and Punggol in a Build-To-Order (BTO) exercise. About 5,000 balance flats will also be offered in a concurrent Sale of Balance Flats exercise, it said.
