  Each year the run aims to be a major Youth Day Celebration that signals to our youths they are valued and cared for, they belong and they can contribute.
  
  It is an event for youths by youths. Since 2001, youths from diverse backgrounds volunteer their time and energy in putting together an event where marginalized and mainstream youths come together in a spirit of friendship, co-operation and unity.
  By getting troubled youths to be part of an annual national youth event, we show them that our society wishes them well and is proud of their efforts to keep their lives on track.
  
  As participants, youths from welfare organisations will become ambassadors for their organisations providing them a sense of purpose and pride. Those from Beyond Social Services will have sponsors who take an active interest in their progress. Hence, to be accountable to their sponsors youths have to be responsible and transparent in their race preparations, schoolwork and other aspects of their lives.
  
  In short, the event creates the context to impart to our young people the important principles of accountability, responsibility and transparency in a simple way that they can understand and experience.

  used to be called streetwise run....why milk?

  Milk Run - last time they run to deliver milk from house to house every morning in USA.
  
  I am just wondering the registration fee is $15.
  
  Is it for charity or just to pay the organisers ???
