HDB Kills Kampung Spirit

Did HDB kill the Kampung Spirit? Or we kill those ourself?
Those were the old days where everyone is like a big familyÂ…Door is unlocked, and no need worry about theftÂ….
Sad to say, we have lost all those. For kops21, moving from Kampung to HDB start to kill the spiritÂ…From leaving the door unlocked, we have to make sure it is securely locked. We start to distrust each others.
Just went to my friend wedding in JB. Ended up sitting with a table full of my friendÂ’s Primary school friends.
Those folks know each other for 30years+ starting from Primary 1!!!
2 teachers also come for the weddingÂ…. Some folks travel from KL to JB just for the occasionÂ… 
It is very heart warming to see the kampong spirits among themÂ…relating stories back 30 yearsÂ….it is amazingÂ….lots of laughterÂ….
Is Malaysian better united than us? Does the kampong factor come into place?
I will trade HDB for Kampung. -

my parents always told me tat it was fun staying in kampong even though the conditions are not very clean as compared to now and they always tell me bout their stories wen dey were living in kampong wen dey were still kids -
Agree about the cleaniness...the first thing when i moved into HDB is glad that toilet nightmares are in the past.
