My thinking is not everyone believe in karma so best way to persuade/encourage ppl to be vegetarians is health reasons.
All ppl kiasi rite. I kiasi so I reduce meat intake/dun eat at all. Singapore medical fees high too better dun eat too much meat in case waste money when u fall sick.
Another way to encourage vegetarianism is thru saving planet earth as cows release methane, demand too much methane released increase global warming. Dun eat cows = save planet earth.
Last way is thru animal rights like human rights, all animals have rights to die a natural death nt through slaughtering or electric shock.
Of cos my natural death includes being killed by other animals. That's the law of the animal world. Strong eat weak.
Mock meat and outside vegetarian stalls better dun patronise alot of unhealthy food.
Better self cook.
Best is make salad and eat.
I know many ppl fifteenth and first of every month go there patronise for religious reasons. One month 2 times eat is ok but everyday eat is bad.
Animal rights, also referred to as animal liberation, is the idea that the most basic interests of non-human animals should be afforded the same consideration as the similar interests of human beings. Advocates approach the issue from different philosophical positions, but agree that animals should be viewed as non-human persons and members of the moral community, and should not be used as food, clothing, research subjects, or entertainment. They argue that human beings should stop seeing other sentient beings as property—not even as property to be treated kindly. The idea of awarding rights to animals has the support of legal scholars such as Alan Dershowitz and Laurence Tribe of Harvard Law School. Animals law is taught in 119 out of 180 law schools in the United States, in eight law schools in Canada, and is routinely covered in universities in philosophy or applied ethics courses.

Animals have rights to live n nt be killed as food. It's painful to kill them, animals can still feel pain.
I do support killing pests, mosquitoes, ants and xiao qiang and other pests though. Other animals no.
I support pest terminator companies. They kill lices I think is ok or white ants.
Kill bees to save the residents is ok too.
i tried the veganburg, in the afternoon. erm...i think still got room to improve. maybe it's organic, hence kind of different.

1. Every year in the UK we feed our livestock enough food to feed 250,000,000 people while in the world 30,000,000 people die of starvation
/\
they rather feed cattle and sheep than starving people in Africa and elsewhere becoz the global elite are trying to curb population growth............
that's why nowadays got so many man-made pandemics................AIDS also one of them............
they also put cancer and virus into vaccines and give them ''FREE'' to the Africans............
ok, i see ignorance. sigh...

This aren't called animals but insects. For Insects, TRY NOT to kill them on purpose.

I disagree with the insect parts.
I 100 percent kill mosquitoes and xiao qiang. 100 percent cannot spare pest insects.
I do kill ants when I forgetful leave sweet food at bowl unwashed ants come.
I use water to wash away the ants, drowning them.
We humans are nt perfect in memory surely gt blur time when we leave sweet thing in bowls unwashed, attracting ants.
I do not kill ants delibrately.
Sometimes i drop food on floor ants come I will kill lah. I wont like kill them for no reason.

If threaten residents should use flamethrower kill them I meant big bee hives.
talking about bees, reminds me...
I am reminded of another story that is a matter of public record.
When you recite the Buddha’s name, you should transfer the merit
to all living beings; you shouldn’t just recite for your own sake.
When you recite the name of a Buddha even once and dedicate the
merit and virtue from your recitation to all living beings, you
thereby increase the merit and virtue of the recitation, and you
make it penetrate without obstruction.
Once, Shakyamuni Buddha went to a certain country to collect
alms, accompanied by all of his disciples except Mahamaudgalyayana
only to find that no one there would give them offerings.
Neither the king, nor his government officials, nor the citizens
made offerings to the Buddha or his disciples. Later, however,
when Mahamaudgalyayana arrived in that country, there was a
complete change of heart. The king, the officials, and all the
citizens very respectfully gathered around to welcome Mahamaudgalyayana
and to bow to him. They beseeched him to let them know
what he needed so they could make offerings to him. The Buddha’s
disciples did not understand why the Buddha, one of such great
virtue, received no offerings from the people of this country, while
when the Buddha’s disciple arrived, the whole town turned out to
greet him and everyone made offerings to him. “What’s the
meaning of this?” the disciples asked the Buddha.
The Buddha told his disciples: “The great officials and the
citizens made no offerings to me because in a past life I failed to set
up conditions with them and consequently we have no affinity with
one another. Once long, long ago, ages prior to this one, Mahamaudgalyayana
was a firewood gatherer. One day while picking up
firewood he bumped against a nest of bees, and they swarmed out
to attack him. Mahamaudgalyayana simply recited the Buddha’s
name and made a vow saying, ‘Namo Buddha. You bees, don’t
sting me! In the future when I have realized the Way, you will be
the first ones I take across to Buddhahood. Renounce your evil
thoughts and stop harming people.’ As a result of this vow, the bees
did not sting him. Eventually the queen bee became the king of this
country and the drones and workers became the officials and
citizens. When Mahamaudgalyayana, now a Bhikshu, came to this
city, the former bees whom he had to take across all bowed and
welcomed him. Such is the power of his former vow.”
Taking this situation to heart, we should always establish
wholesome affinities by being kind to everyone. We should vow to
lead all people and all creatures to Buddhahood. A vow is invisible,
but living beings have the equivalent of a radio receiver in their
minds, so they can tune in to it. A vow is not tangible or visible, but
beings will instinctively know if you are good to them. You should
resolve to rescue all living beings. Anyone who maintains this
frame of mind will have affinities wherever he goes. -- late Master Hsuan Hua
