Wogmin Thubten Shedrup Ling Monastery in Rewalsar have great pleasure in announcing the 5th Oddiyana Retreat and Pilgrimage Starting on 2nd February 2011.
His Eminence Lho Ontul Rinpoche will be teaching on the following subjects:
Please note that the teachings are in Tibetan with an English translation.
The teaching will commence on 2nd February 2011 and end on 8th February. There will then be a 6 day tour, starting on 10th February 2011, of Sanchi, Ellora caves, Ajanta caves and Kenheri Caves. Lho Ontul Rinpoche will accompany the participants on the tour and will give regular teachings and practice sessions.

The tour details are as follows:
Feb. 9th - Leave Rewalsar for Delhi.
10th – Early morning train to Bhopal. Check into Hotel.
11th – Day time tour of Sanchi. (Sanchi has several stupas, the main one contains the relics of Lord Buddha. Other stupas have the relics of two of Buddha's disciples, namely Shariputra and Maugalyana) Take night train to Manmad.
12th – After arrival in Manmad then a drive to Auramgabad. Tour of Ellora Caves. (There are 12 caves belonging to the Buddhist tradition here. Other caves belong to the Jain and Brahmin traditions. One of the caves has a huge image of Lord Buddha)
13th – Morning tour of Ajanta Caves. (Here there are 27 Buddhist caves cut into the rock face. Some of the caves are assembly halls, some are temples and some meditation caves. Many gaves have coloured pictures on the walls) The rest of the day is free for you to do what you want.
14th – Morning drive to Kanheri Caves. (These caves are known as the caves of the Eighty Mahasiddhas. There are 180 caves here) You will then spend over night in Mumbai.
15th – Whole day free to tour Mumbai.
16th - Leave Mumbai. There are three options here:
- Option one – Fly home from Mumbai Airport
- Option Two – Fly back to Delhi
- Option Three – Train back to Delhi
