Who and why Green Tara?
It is said that in her course of saving sentient beings,
Avalokitesvara (Guan Yin) was saddened by the innumerable beings that
needed help. It was from her tears of compassion that Green Tara
arose and gave the assurance of helping to save sentient beings. As
such, Green Tara is swift in responding to those who pray for her
assistance.
It is an auspicious start to the new year to jointly make an
aspiration in improving ourselves. The Green Tara practice will help
us transform our own lives positively so we can be of benefit to our
family and friends initially and society at large eventually.
